11.1. Mục đích và đối tượng nghiên cứu của luận án

          Mục đích nghiên cứu

- Đánh giá và khái quát những đặc điểm, đóng góp của tiểu thuyết Tự lực văn đoàn từ góc nhìn lí thuyết nữ quyền. 

- Chỉ ra và phân tích các phương diện nội dung và nghệ thuật của tiểu thuyết Tự lực văn đoàn biểu đạt sự chi phối của tư tưởng nữ quyền.

 Đối tượng nghiên cứu

Đối tượng nghiên cứu của luận án là tiểu thuyết của nhóm Tự lực văn đoàn, các cấp độ/khía cạnh về nội dung và nghệ thuật biểu đạt tư tưởng và ý thức nữ quyền trong các tiểu thuyết được khảo sát. 

11.2. Các phương pháp nghiên cứu

Lí thuyết chính được chúng tôi sử dụng trong luận án là lí thuyết nữ quyền. Lí thuyết định hướng người nghiên cứu tập trung vào các trải nghiệm của phụ nữ, thách thức các bất bình đẳng giới và thúc đẩy sự thay đổi xã hội để đạt được bình đẳng trong mọi lĩnh vực của đời sống được thể hiện trong văn bản văn học. Theo định hướng lí thuyết đó, luận án sử dụng các phương pháp nghiên cứu như: phương pháp tiếp cận hệ thống, phương pháp tiếp cận thi pháp học, phương pháp liên ngành và phương pháp so sánh.

11.3. Các kết quả chính và kết luận

          Các kết quả chính

          - Luận án chỉ ra bối cảnh, nền tảng văn hóa - tư tưởng, những nhân tố thúc đẩy sự hình thành và biểu đạt tư tưởng nữ quyền trong tiểu thuyết Tự lực văn đoàn.

- Dưới ánh sáng của phê bình nữ quyền, luận án chỉ ra và phân tích những khía cạnh nội dung và nghệ thuật của tiểu thuyết Tự lực văn đoàn và nhấn mạnh rằng tiểu thuyết Tự lực văn đoàn tạo dựng nhân vật nữ trong sự gắn kết với hệ thống nhân vật khác và các yếu tố thi pháp khác trong tác phẩm theo định hướng thể hiện tư tưởng tự do, bình đẳng về giới.

- Luận án khẳng định sự hiện diện độc lập của bản thể nữ, giá trị của thiên tính nữ và cuộc đấu tranh giữa tư tưởng cũ với tư tưởng mới giữa tầng lớp chịu ảnh hưởng của Tây học về hạnh phúc và các quyền cá nhân, đặc biệt là các quyền của người phụ nữ được thể hiện trong tiểu thuyết của Tự lực văn đoàn

Kết luận

- Luận án khẳng định đóng góp quan trọng của Tự lực văn đoàn trong việc xây dựng một mô hình tiểu thuyết hiện đại, ở đó tư tưởng nữ quyền được đặt nền móng và nhấn mạnh một cách rõ rệt.

- Luận án nhấn mạnh điểm mới và điểm nhấn của Tiểu thuyết Tự lực văn đoàn khi biểu đạt tư tưởng nữ quyền.

12. Các hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo: diễn ngôn về cơ thể nữ giới trong Tự lực văn đoàn; So sánh Tự lực văn đoàn với văn học nữ giới đương thời; Nghiên cứu tác động của bối cảnh thuộc địa đến chủ thể nữ. Những hướng đi này giúp đánh giá sâu hơn tính phức tạp của nữ quyền trong giai đoạn 1930-1945. Những hướng nghiên cứu đó sẽ giúp nhìn nhận Tự lực văn đoàn không chỉ là người mở đường mà còn là một trường hợp phức tạp, đầy mâu thuẫn trong tiến trình văn học nữ quyền tại Việt Nam.

11.1. The Objectives and Research Subjects of the Dissertation

          Research Objectives

          - To evaluate and synthesize the characteristics and contributions of the Self - Strength Literary Group’s novels from a feminist theoretical perspective.

          - To identify and analyze the thematic and artistic dimensions of the Self-Strength Literary Group’s novels that reflect the influence of feminist thought.

          Research Subjects

          - The research subjects of this dissertation are the novels of the Self-Strength Literary Group (Tự Lực Văn Đoàn), with particular attention to the various levels and aspects of content and artistic expression through which feminist thought and consciousness are articulated in the selected works.

          11.2. Research Methods

          - The principal theoretical framework employed in this dissertation is feminist theory. This framework directs the researcher’s attention to women’s experiences, challenges gender inequalities, and promotes social transformation toward achieving equality across various domains of life as represented in literary texts.

          - In accordance with this theoretical orientation, the dissertation adopts several research methods, including the systemic approach, the poetics-oriented approach, the interdisciplinary approach, and the comparative method.

          11.3. Main Findings and Conclusions

          Main Findings:

          - The dissertation identifies the historical context, cultural–ideological foundations, and the driving forces behind the formation and expression of feminist thought in the novels of the Self-Strength Literary Group (Tự Lực Văn Đoàn).

          - In the light of feminist criticism, the dissertation examines and analyzes both the thematic and artistic dimensions of these novels, emphasizing that female characters are constructed in relation to other character systems and poetics-related elements, oriented toward expressing ideals of freedom and gender equality.

          - The dissertation affirms the independent presence of female subjectivity, the value of femininity, and the tension between traditional and modern ideologies-particularly among Western-educated social groups-regarding happiness and individual rights, especially women’s rights, as reflected in the novels of the Self-Strength Literary Group.

          Conclusions:

          - The dissertation confirms the significant contribution of the Self-Strength Literary Group to the development of a modern novelistic model in which feminist thought is distinctly established and emphasized.

          - It highlights the originality and distinctive features of the Self-Strength Literary Group’s novels in their articulation of feminist ideas.

12. Futher research directions: Discourses on the female body in the works of the Self-Strength Literary Group; comparative studies between the Self-Strength Literary Group and contemporary women’s writing; and investigations into the impact of the colonial context on female subjectivity are promising directions for further research. These approaches enable a more in-depth assessment of the complexity of feminist thought during the period 1930–1945. Such lines of inquiry will contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the Self-Strength Literary Group, not merely as pioneers, but as a complex and internally contradictory case within the development of feminist literature in Vietnam.
