2. Objectives of the training program:
2.1. General objectives
The Master of Archival Studies program with application orientation helps students improve their ability to apply theory to practice in organizing and managing archival work and archival documents such as:detect and solve or organize the solving of related problems in the practice of archiving work;Advise and propose solutions to improve the quality of archiving work;Develop regulations on archival work and archival documents;training and guidance on archiving;Check and organize the implementation of archival operationsIn addition, graduates of this program are also equipped with the capacity and qualities to teach at colleges and universities in the field of archival studies.
2.2. Specific objectives
The Master's program in applied archival studies is designed to achieve the following specific objectives:
2.2.1.About knowledge:
The application-oriented Master of Archival Studies program helps studentssystematize and updateBasic knowledge groups about Archival Studies. Specifically as follows:
+ Basic knowledge of the field of Archival Studies such as Organization and management of archives; Document systems in agencies and organizations; Archive policies, History of textual studies; Typical events in Vietnamese history; Theory and practice of administrative procedures; Administrative reform in Vietnam through historical periods.
+ Knowledge of the major of Archival Studies such as Classification of archival documents; Determining the value of documents; Organizing the storage of electronic documents; Organizing the storage of audio-visual documents; Organizing the storage of scientific and technological documents; Organizing the information system of archival documents; Storing special documents; Historical methods; Publishing documents.
+ Supplementary and elective knowledge blocks to meet different career requirements of learners.
2.2.2. About capacity: After completing the program, students will achieve the following competencies:
- Grasp the basics of archival science,Able to detect practical problems that need to be researched and solved; from there, can advise on organizational, management and policy measures.on the field of archiving for leaders and managers;
- Haveability to organize or directly implement and resolve arising problemsh in the practice of organizing and managing archival work at agencies, organizations and enterprises.
