Rising food prices, as well as man-made natural disasters such as tsunamis and floods, have once again demonstrated that food security and climate change are the leading challenges in the world today. Experts worldwide agree that food security is a "life-or-death" issue and a top priority for Africa. Much of the continent is at risk of severe food shortages, and famine constantly threatens and plagues this "dark continent." For this reason, the thesis identifies research directions aimed at ensuring food security in Africa, eliminating chronic hunger, combating poverty, developing agricultural production capacity, and fostering agricultural cooperation between Vietnam and Africa. This agricultural cooperation will undoubtedly yield mutually beneficial results. The thesis also studies typical African issues to draw lessons for Vietnam. Identifying the weaknesses of African agriculture also provides lessons for Vietnam to avoid shortcomings and maintain its leading position in ensuring its own food security. Ensuring national food security is considered a strength and advantage in international relations. 11. Practical applications: 12. Further research directions: In-depth research on the agricultural sector of several typical African countries; Seeking strategic and comprehensive agricultural cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and African countries in this field.
