11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án

         - Mục đích nghiên cứu: nghiên cứu các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số trong phát triển du lịch tại Sơn La. Từ đó đưa ra các hàm ý chính sách nhằm thúc đẩy, tăng cường sự tham gia (chủ động) của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số trong phát triển du lịch tại Sơn La.

         - Nhiệm vụ nghiên cứu:

+ Hệ thống hoá những vấn đề lý luận về sự tham gia của cộng đồng nói chung, lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số nói riêng vào hoạt động du lịch.

+ Hệ thống hóa các thuyết (theories) và các mô hình liên quan để đề xuất mô hình về các yếu tố tác động sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số tại Sơn La vào hoạt động du lịch.

+ Khảo sát thực trạng tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số tại Sơn La nói chung, các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của họ nói riêng vào hoạt động du lịch.

+ Đánh giá vai trò các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số tại Sơn La vào hoạt động du lịch.

+ Kiểm định mô hình đề xuất về các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số tại Sơn La vào hoạt động du lịch dưới ảnh hưởng của nhận thức xã hội hiện nay về vai trò phụ nữ tại địa bàn. 

+ Đề xuất các hàm ý chính sách để góp phần thúc đẩy sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số tại Sơn La vào hoạt động du lịch và góp phần nâng cao hơn nữa nhận thức xã hội về vai trò phụ nữ, đặc biệt là phụ nữ dân tộc thiểu số, đáp ứng một trong 17 mục tiêu phát triển bền vững của Liên Hợp Quốc.

- Đối tượng nghiên cứu: các vấn đề liên quan đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số vào hoạt động du lịch ở Sơn La, đặc biệt là vai trò các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số vào hoạt động du lịch tại Sơn La. 

- Các phương pháp nghiên cứu đã sử dụng:

+ Phương pháp định tính: Phương pháp thu thập dữ liệu thứ cấp, Phương pháp tổng quan tài liệu được thực hiện bằng hai phương pháp, Phương pháp phỏng vấn sâu, Phương pháp chuyên gia

+ Phương pháp phân tích định lượng: điều tra bằng bảng hỏi, phương pháp phân tích so sánh.

- Các kết quả chính và kết luận:

(1) Tổng quan có hệ thống về các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ DTTS, vai trò, mức độ và hình thức tham gia. Cung cấp một tài liệu tổng quan về chủ đề có liên quan, phân tích xu hướng phát triển của chủ đề đồng thời đề xuất các hướng nghiên cứu trong tương lai. 

(2) Xây dựng và phát triển thang đo các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số trong phát triển du lịch biểu hiện ở các yếu tố ngoại sinh và yếu tố tự thân (nội sinh) của họ thông qua các thành phần MAO (Động lực – Khả năng – Cơ hội)

Về cỡ mẫu: NCS sử dụng công thức xác định mẫu của Hair et al. (2006) với số phiếu cần khảo sát là 480 phiếu. 

(3) Kiểm chứng các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số trong phát triển du lịch. 

Động lực (Nhận thức tác động tích cực của du lịch đến kinh tế, Nhận thức tác động tích cực của du lịch đến văn hoá – xã hội, Nhận thức tác động tích cực của du lịch đến môi trường) 

Năng lực (Kiến thức, Kỹ năng, Thái độ) 

Cơ hội (Chính sách pháp luật, Xu hướng thị trường, Tài nguyên du lịch) 

(4) Kiểm định vai trò điều tiết của Nhận thức xã hội về vai trò phụ nữ DTTS trong mối quan hệ giữa 9 yếu tố thuộc khung MAO với sự tham gia của lao động nữ DTTS trong phát triển du lịch. Phát hiện này cho thấy sự tham gia của lao động nữ DTTS là kết quả của sự tương tác phức tạp giữa các yếu tố cá nhân và bối cảnh xã hội, thay vì chỉ phụ thuộc vào điều kiện kinh tế hay năng lực cá nhân.

NCS xây dựng và phát triển mô hình lý thuyết với 18 giả thuyết nhằm phân tích và kiểm chứng các yếu tố tác động đến sự tham gia của lao động nữ dân tộc thiểu số trong phát triển du lịch tại Sơn La và vai trò điều tiết của nhận thức cộng động đến vai trò phụ nữ. Kết quả từ khảo sát tại các điểm du lịch Sơn La, cụ thể là Bản Lướt, Bản Nậm Nghiệp, Bản Nà Tâu (xã Ngọc Chiến); Bản Hua Ít (xã Mường La), Bản Áng (xã Đông Sang); Bản Vặt, Bản Lườn (xã Mường Sang); Bản Tà Số (xã Chiềng Hắc); Bản Hua Tạt, bản Suối Lìn (xã Vân Hồ) và thành phố Sơn La (cũ) cho thấy có 06 giả thuyết bị từ chối và 08 giả thuyết được chấp nhận. 

12. Các hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo

Các nghiên cứu tiếp theo có thể được mở rộng theo một số hướng chính. Thứ nhất, mở rộng phạm vi nghiên cứu sang các khu vực có điều kiện tương đồng như vùng Trung du và miền núi phía Bắc nhằm kiểm định và nâng cao khả năng khái quát hóa của mô hình. Thứ hai, đi sâu phân tích vai trò của sự tham gia du lịch đối với quyền năng và vị thế của lao động nữ DTTS cũng như sự tham gia của họ trong chuỗi giá trị du lịch. Thứ ba, tập trung làm rõ các yếu tố văn hóa như bản sắc dân tộc và chuẩn mực xã hội cũng như sự khác biệt giữa các nhóm DTTS trong tham gia du lịch. Thứ tư, phát triển nghiên cứu theo hướng hỗn hợp một cách hệ thống hơn, trong đó phương pháp định tính được triển khai như một hợp phần độc lập nhằm phân tích sâu các yếu tố văn hóa, chuẩn mực xã hội và sự khác biệt giữa các nhóm DTTS. Bên cạnh đó, có thể mở rộng mô hình nghiên cứu bằng cách đưa yếu tố văn hóa hoặc dân tộc vào như một biến điều tiết nhằm kiểm định trực tiếp vai trò các yếu tố gắn với bối cảnh văn hóa. Cuối cùng, trong bối cảnh chuyển đổi số, các nghiên cứu có thể xem xét vai trò của công nghệ và cơ hội sinh kế mới trong du lịch đối với lao động nữ DTTS tại Việt Nam.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis

- Research Objective: 

To study the factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in tourism development in Son La. From this, to propose policy implications to promote and enhance the (active) participation of ethnic minority women in tourism development in Son La.

- Research Tasks:

+ Systematize theoretical issues regarding community participation in general, and ethnic minority women in particular, in tourism activities.

+ Systematize related theories and models to propose a model of factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in Son La in tourism activities.

+ Survey the current state of participation of ethnic minority women in Son La in general, and the factors affecting their participation in tourism activities.

+ Evaluate the role of factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in Son La in tourism activities.

+ To test the proposed model on factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in Son La in tourism activities under the influence of current social perceptions of women's roles in the area.

+ To propose policy implications to contribute to promoting the participation of ethnic minority women in Son La in tourism activities and further enhance social awareness of women's roles, especially ethnic minority women, in line with one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

- Main results and conclusions

(1) A systematic overview of factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women, their role, level and forms of participation. Providing a comprehensive overview of the relevant topic, analyzes the development trends of the topic and proposes directions for future research. 

(2) Construct and develop a scale of factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in tourism development, expressed in their exogenous and endogenous factors through MAO components (Motivation – Ability – Opportunity). Regarding sample size: I used the sample determination formula of Hair et al. (2006) with the number of questionnaires to be surveyed being 480. 

(3) Verify the factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in tourism development.

After conducting a preliminary survey and scale validation, it was found that all variables had total variable correlation coefficients less than 0.3 and factor loading coefficients less than 0.6, thus qualifying them for inclusion in the formal survey.

48 observed variables were included in the formal survey. Regarding sample size: I used the sample size determination formula of Hair et al. (2006) with the number of questionnaires to be surveyed being 480.

(4) Testing the moderating role of social perception of ethnic minority women's role in the relationship between 9 factors of the MAO framework and the participation of ethnic minority women in tourism development. This finding shows that the participation of ethnic minority women is the result of a complex interaction between individual factors and social context, rather than depending only on economic conditions or individual capabilities.

The researcher built and developed a theoretical model with 18 hypotheses to analyze and test the factors affecting the participation of ethnic minority women in tourism development in Son La and the moderating role of social perception of ethnic minority women's role. Results from surveys at tourist destinations in Son La, specifically Ban Luot, Ban Nam Nghiep, Ban Na Tau (Ngoc Chien commune); Ban Hua It (Muong La commune), Ban Ang (Dong Sang commune); Ban Vat, Ban Luon (Muong Sang commune); Ban Ta So (Chieng Hac commune); Ban Hua Tat, Ban Suoi Lin (Van Ho commune) and the former Son La city, show that 6 hypotheses were rejected and 8 hypotheses were accepted.

12. Further research directions

Future studies may be extended in several key directions. First, the scope of research could be expanded to regions with similar socio-economic and cultural conditions, such as the Northern Midlands and Mountainous areas of Vietnam, in order to validate and enhance the generalizability of the proposed model. Second, further studies may provide a more in-depth examination of the role of tourism participation in enhancing the empowerment and social status of ethnic minority women workers, as well as their participation in the tourism value chain. Third, future research should focus on clarifying the influence of cultural factors, including ethnic identity and social norms, as well as differences among ethnic minority groups in tourism participation. Fourth, future studies are encouraged to adopt a more systematic mixed-methods approach, in which qualitative research is implemented as an independent component to provide deeper insights into cultural factors, social norms, and variations among ethnic minority groups. In addition, the research model could be extended by incorporating cultural or ethnic factors as moderating variables in order to directly examine the role of context-specific cultural influences. Finally, in the context of digital transformation, future research may explore the role of technology and emerging tourism-related livelihood opportunities for ethnic minority women workers in Vietnam.
