The University of Social Sciences and Humanities donated 100 million VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.

On June 17th, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities donated 100 million VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.
Responding to the Prime Minister's call for the people to unite in the fight against the pandemic, all staff and faculty members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities contributed 100 million VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund. Each staff member donated at least one day's salary.

Previously, on June 10th, the University also donated 70 million VND to the Covid-19 prevention and control efforts through the Trade Union of Hanoi National University. In addition, the University's Trade Union also allocated 10 million VND to support union members with special circumstances affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, aiming to share and encourage staff to overcome difficulties during the pandemic.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) receives a letter of thanks from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, signed by Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung (Vice Chairman of the Committee).

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) stated: Faculty and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always uphold the spirit of humanity in all activities in general and social charity work in particular. The University would like to express its gratitude to the contributions and support of all faculty, students, and lecturers to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund; and to the frontline fighters against the pandemic. We hope that through these actions, the University will contribute its share, achieve practical results, and create a ripple effect in the community regarding the spirit of solidarity and unity in quickly repelling and defeating the pandemic.
 
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung (Vice Chairman of the Committee) expressed his deep gratitude and acknowledged the contributions of the university's staff and students in social charitable activities in general and in the joint efforts to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic in particular. Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung hoped that in the future, the university and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front would continue to strengthen their cooperation, especially in social and charitable work for social welfare and the sustainable development of Vietnam.
