University of Social Sciences and Humanities donates 100 million VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund

Responding to the Prime Minister's call for people to unite to fight the epidemic, all staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities contributed 100 million VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund. Each staff donated at least one day's salary.
 

 

Previously, on June 10, the University also donated 70 million VND for Covid-19 prevention and control through the Hanoi National University Trade Union. In addition, the University Trade Union also donated 10 million VND to support union members in special circumstances affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, in order to share and encourage staff to overcome difficulties during the pandemic.
 

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) said: Staff and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always promote the spirit of humanity in general activities and social charity activities in particular. The University would like to send the contributions and sharing of all staff, students and lecturers to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund; send the soldiers on the front lines of the epidemic a deep gratitude. Hopefully, through these activities, the University will contribute a part of its responsibility, bring practical results, create a spread in the community about the spirit of solidarity and consensus to soon repel and defeat the epidemic.

 

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung (Vice Chairman of the Committee) expressed his deep gratitude and acknowledged the contributions of the University's staff and students in social volunteer activities in general and in joining hands to prevent and fight the Covid-19 pandemic in particular. Comrade Nguyen Huu Dung hopes that in the coming time, the University and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to promote their solidarity, especially in social charity work for social security and sustainable development of Vietnam.
