Accordingly, the doctoral program in Vietnamese Studies, majoring in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies
(Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies)Training domestic and foreign experts with advanced knowledge of Vietnamese language in relation to theoretical issues related to the practice of Vietnamese language, culture, country and people. Graduates of this major are capable of conducting independent research and working in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary environment; have the ability to organize research on issues in the field of Vietnamese language and contents in the field of Vietnamese studies.
After completing the doctoral program in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, PhD students will become independent researchers in their specialized fields, meeting the needs of society for high-quality human resources to serve Vietnam's economic and social development strategy, and meeting the needs of Vietnamese research domestically and internationally.
By participating in the Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies PhD program, students are updated and developed with an advanced knowledge system about Vietnamese, providing students with comprehensive and advanced knowledge about the characteristics, rules, and trends of Vietnamese; updating and developing an advanced knowledge system about the field of ethnomusicology in Vietnamese studies through the following factors: culture, society, literature, art, economics, politics, religion, diplomacy, law, etc. of Vietnam.
After graduation, PhDs in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies can undertake professional jobs related to many different fields of social sciences, especially in jobs requiring the ability to conduct comprehensive and interdisciplinary research; teaching and conducting in-depth research on Vietnamese language, culture, society, history, economics, politics, literature, art, the country and people of Vietnam at educational and training institutions, academies and research institutes domestically and internationally. Under certain conditions, PhDs in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies can develop into experts in analyzing and consulting on issues related to the Vietnamese language, the country and people of Vietnam; on policies and potential for development of culture, society, economy, tourism, investment, environment, etc. at state management agencies, companies, organizations, non-governmental agencies, government agencies and international organizations. In addition, students also have many opportunities to take on jobs related to professional activities such as: teaching Vietnamese language and culture; management, criticism at domestic and foreign publishing houses, working in the field of press - media, agencies in the political system...
