Based on Decision No. 37/2018/QD-TTg dated August 31, 2018, of the Prime Minister promulgating regulations on standards and procedures for considering and recognizing the attainment of professorship and associate professorship titles; and procedures for considering the revocation of recognition and dismissal from professorship and associate professorship titles;
Based on the strategic development plan of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; and based on the requirements for training quality, scientific research, and faculty structure, the University announces the needs and conditions for the appointment and reappointment of associate professors in 2026 as follows:
3. Conditions for registration for appointment and reappointment
3.1. Conditions for registration for appointment- Having been recognized as meeting the standards for the title of professor or associate professor by the State Council of Professors, or having been appointed to the title of professor or associate professor by an educational institution abroad and meeting the needs and conditions for appointment of the University (The educational institution abroad must have been accredited and recognized for its quality by an accreditation organization permitted to operate under the laws of the host country).
- I aspire to be appointed to the position of Professor or Associate Professor at the University.
* The application dossier for appointment to the positions of professor and associate professor includes:
- Application form for appointment to professor or associate professor positions (Form No. 15, Appendix II issued with Decision No. 37/2018/QD-TTg dated August 31, 2018 of the Prime Minister).
- A copy of the decision recognizing the qualifications for the title of professor or associate professor for the candidate applying for appointment to the title of professor or associate professor.
- Proof of appointment to the title of professor or associate professor at a foreign higher education institution (if applicable).
- Copies must be certified or notarized in accordance with the law or compared with the original when submitting the application.
3.2. Conditions for applying for reappointment:- Appointed to the titles of Professor and Associate Professor for a full 5-year term (appointment period: February 2021).
- To fulfill the responsibilities and duties assigned by the University and the unit during the period of appointment to the title of Professor or Associate Professor.
- I aspire to be appointed to the position of Professor or Associate Professor at the University.
* The application dossier for reappointment to the titles of professor and associate professor includes:
- Application for reappointment to the title of Professor, Associate Professor
according to the attached form.
- A report on the level of fulfillment of responsibilities and tasks assigned by the School/unit during the 5-year period (from February 2021 to the present) since being appointed to the titles of Professor and Associate Professor.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will begin accepting applications for appointment and reappointment of professor and associate professor positions in 2026 from March 6th, 2026 to March 18th, 2026 at the Personnel Department (Room 602, Building E, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi).
