On September 18th, the Faculty of Philosophy held a ceremony to announce the new Dean's Board for the 2010-2015 term and the opening ceremony for the 2009-2010 academic year.
On September 18th, the Faculty of Philosophy held a ceremony to announce the new Dean's Board for the 2010-2015 term and the opening ceremony for the 2009-2010 academic year.Professor Nguyen Van Khanh presented the appointment decision for the new Dean of the Philosophy Faculty to Associate Professor Nguyen Thuy Van, and appointed the Vice-Department Heads: Associate Professor Nguyen Vu Hao, Associate Professor Nguyen Anh Tuan, and Ms. Tran Thi Hanh. On behalf of the University, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh congratulated the Philosophy Faculty and commended its achievements in the past academic year. The Rector said: The Philosophy Faculty has a rich tradition, and the Faculty Board has strived to fulfill its tasks in the past academic year by leveraging its strengths. In recent years, the Faculty's staff and lecturers, especially those with high qualifications, have grown significantly in number. Last year alone, seven faculty members were awarded the title of Associate Professor by the State. This represents a remarkable development in the Faculty's potential, creating a solid foundation for long-term growth. In addition, the Rector emphasized several key tasks that the new Faculty Board needs to focus on and strive to accomplish. These include: continuing to research and adjust the Faculty's specializations/training programs; innovating the content and methods of training; implementing interdisciplinary research with high practical value; and building a team of highly qualified staff and lecturers… On behalf of the new Faculty Board, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van expressed gratitude to the previous generations and hoped to receive more support so that the new Board could strive to successfully complete its tasks. Also on this occasion, the Philosophy Faculty awarded the Tran Duc Thao Scholarship (a scholarship specifically for Philosophy students) to 5 students with outstanding academic achievements. Certificates of merit and gifts were also presented to 11 students with outstanding academic achievements, students who are Youth Union/Student Association officials, and students who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies. It is known that the Philosophy Faculty is the first faculty of the University to have students graduating early.
