Launching the new term of the Faculty of Philosophy Executive Committee

On September 18, the Faculty of Philosophy held a ceremony to announce the new Board of Directors for the 2010-2015 term and the opening ceremony of the new school year 2009-2010.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh presented the decision to appoint the new Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van - Dean of the Faculty, and appointed the Vice Deans: Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Hao, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan and MSc. Tran Thi Hanh. On behalf of the University, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh congratulated the Faculty of Philosophy and commended the achievements of the Faculty in the past school year. The Rector said: The Faculty of Philosophy is a faculty with many traditions, promoting its strengths in the past school year, the Faculty's Executive Committee has made efforts to complete the school year's tasks. In recent years, the Faculty's staff and lecturers, especially those with high qualifications, have grown in number. Last year alone, the Faculty had 7 staff members awarded the title of Associate Professor by the State. This is a breakthrough development in the Faculty's potential, creating a solid foundation for long-term development. In addition, the Rector emphasized a number of basic tasks that the new Executive Committee needs to focus on and strive to complete. That is: continue to research and adjust the majors/training fields of the Faculty; innovate training content and methods; implement interdisciplinary research with high practicality; build a team of highly qualified staff and lecturers... On behalf of the new term Faculty Executive Committee, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van expressed her gratitude to the previous generations and hoped to receive more support for the new Executive Committee to have the conditions and strive to complete the task well. Also on this occasion, the Faculty of Philosophy awarded the Tran Duc Thao scholarship (a scholarship exclusively for students majoring in Philosophy) to 5 students with excellent academic achievements. And presented certificates of merit and gifts to 11 students with excellent academic achievements, students who are Youth Union-Association officials, students who overcame difficulties to study. It is known that the Faculty of Philosophy is the first faculty of the University to have students graduate early.
