Luận văn gồm 3 Chương:

Chương 1: Tổng quan về Đảng phái trong hệ thống chính trị Mỹ

Trong Chương này tác giả tập trung nêu một số khái niệm cơ bản về Hệ thống chính trị, Đảng chính trị, Đảng cầm quyền ở Mỹ. Dựa vào lịch sử hình thành từ ngày đầu lập nước và xây dựng Hiến pháp Mỹ, tác giả trình bày bối cảnh, nguyên nhân dẫn đến sự hình thành hệ thống đa đảng tại Mỹ, những giai đoạn phát triển của đảng cầm quyền ở Mỹ. Qua đó, làm rõ tổ chức các đảng chính trị, nguyên tắc hoạt động, đặc biệt là của hai Đảng Dân chủ và Cộng hòa.

Chương 2: Hoạt động của Đảng Dân chủ và Đảng Cộng hòa từ năm 2001 đến nay

Chương này tập trung vào phân tích các hoạt động đối nội: kinh tế, chính trị, văn hóa xã hội;  hoạt động đối ngoại: cuộc chiến chống chủ nghĩa khủng bố, chống vũ khí hạt nhân của Đảng Dân chủ và Đảng Cộng hòa qua hai đời Tổng thống Geogre W. Bush (nhiệm kỳ 2001 – 2008) và Brack Obama (nhiệm kỳ 2009 đến thời điểm hiện tại năm 2015) thông qua Học thuyết và chiến lược an ninh quốc gia của trong nhiệm kỳ của hai Tổng thống.

Chương 3:  Một số nhận xét về Đảng Dân chủ và Đảng Cộng hòa

Trên cơ sở nghiên cứu, phân tích ở Chương 1, 2, trong chương này, tác giả đưa ra một số nhận xét về điểm giống và khác trong chính sách, hoạt động của hai Đảng mà đặc biệt là quan điểm của hai đời Tổng thống G.W. Bush và B. Obama

Nội dung Luận văn:

Qua việc nghiên cứu “Hoạt động của hai đảng Dân chủ và Cộng hòa trong hệ thống chính trị mỹ từ năm 2001 đến nay”, luận văn muốn làm rõ hơn về quan điểm của hai Đảng dưới thời gian cầm quyền của Tổng thống G.W. Bush và B. Obama trong các vấn đề đối nội, đối ngoại, đặc biệt là trong cuộc chiến chống chủ nghĩa khủng bố, chiến lược của hai Đảng trong điều kiện trật tự thế giới thay đổi. Đặc biệt là sau vụ khủng bố 11/9/2001 xảy ra tại Washington và New York, nước Mỹ đã có những quan điểm, chính sách mạnh mẽ với cuộc chiến chống chủ nghĩa khủng bố.

Thesis topic: Comparing the operation of the Democratic Party and the Republic Party within the U.S political system since 2001.

The thesis consists of 3 chapters:

Chapter 1: Overview on political parties in the political system of the U.S

In this chapter, the author focused on providing concepts of the political system, political parties of the U.S. Based on the history of the U.S since the Independence day and its constitution, the author introduced the context and reasons leading to the formation of multi-party system of the U.S as well as the development period of the ruling party in the U.S. Then, the author proceeded to identify the organization, operation of the political parties, especiall the Democratic Party and the Republic Party.

Chapter 2: Opereation of the Democratic Party and the Republic Party since 2001

The chapter focused on analyzing the internal political activities such as economy, politics, socio-cultural matters; and the external political activities such as the war against terrorists and nuclear weapon spreading of the Democratic Party and the Republic Party with two Presidents: George W.Bush (2001-2008) and Barack Obama (2009 till now) and their national security strategy.

Chapter 3: Discussion on the Democratic Party and the Republic Party

Based on the first two chapters, the author analyze the similarity and difference in the policies and operations of the two parties displayed through actions and decisions of President George W.Bush and President Barack Obama.

Thesis content:

Through the study on the political parties, the formation of duo-party system, and the organization and operation of the Democratic Party and the Republic Party in the U.S. The thesis provided insights of the common actions and operation tendency of the two parties toward the internal and external matters, displayed through the decisions and activities of President George W.Bush and President Barack Obama with their national security strategies. On this basis, the author aims to explore the similarities and differences in the operation of the two parties, especially in their strategy against terrorism and nuclear weapon spreading, as well as their international relation. The author also provided several predictions on the activities of the two parties in the near future.
