2. Objectives of the training program

2.1 General objectives

The master's program in Clinical Psychology has the general goal of training highly qualified clinical practitioners with in-depth professional knowledge, good professional skills, ethics and love for people, contributing to helping people with psychological difficulties in the community, enhancing the training reputation of Hanoi National University.

2.2 Specific objectives

Provide learners with in-depth knowledge in the field of clinical psychology.

Train students in psychological professional qualities and ethics.

Equip students with diagnostic and assessment methods as well as psychological intervention and support for individuals, groups and communities.

2.2.1 About knowledge

The training program is designed in a practical orientation, aiming to equip and guide learners to supplement and update the advanced approach system and in-depth master's level in the field of Clinical Psychology, including:

  • Theoretical basis and theoretical system of clinical pathology;
  • Fundamental principles of psychological assessment;
  • Systems approaches to psychological intervention with adults, adolescents, and children.

2.2.2 About skills

Based on the practical orientation, the training program focuses on the goal of equipping and guiding learners to improve their professional skills and complementary skills, including: Skills to identify symptoms, distinguish symptoms in different syndromes; Skills to assess disorders; Skills to intervene according to diverse therapeutic approaches in the world.

2.2.3 About moral qualities

The training program aims to help learners practice and develop personal ethics, professional ethics and social ethics, including:love people, be devoted to clients, accept and respect clients, be honest with yourself, be honest with the process of helping clients, be persistent, be sincere and do no harm

  • Foundation Exam: General Clinical Psychology
  • Foreign Language: choose 1 of 5 languages: English, Russian, French, German, Chinese.

3.2.1 About the degree

Bachelor's degree in the correct (or appropriate) major for the major or major registered for the exam; or have a university degreesystemRegular major close to the major registered for the exam, have taken supplementary courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in the major registered for the exam (according to the regulations of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 27 credits).
