This 9th award selection round included 87 works, books, and articles selected from central and local literary and artistic associations; publishing houses; and media agencies. These were submitted to the Council and further screened and evaluated through a four-step preliminary and final selection process. Among them were 16 works of research, theory, and criticism on culture in general; 31 works in the field of art; and 40 works in the field of literature.
Based on the results of the Final Judging Panel, the Chairman of the Panel decided to award prizes to 19 works, including 1 work (book) at level A for the work "Poetry - Concepts and Aesthetic Nuances" by
Professor, Doctor, People's Teacher Ma Giang LanLevel B: 4 works (3 books, 1 program); Level C: 10 works (8 books, 2 articles/collections of articles); and Encouragement Level: 4 works (3 books, 1 program).

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism Nguyen The Ky stated that, fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Central Party Secretariat and the leadership of the Central Propaganda Department, for many years now, at the end of each year, the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism has been evaluating, appraising, and awarding prizes to authors and groups of authors with high-quality specialized books on literary and artistic theory and criticism; outstanding articles on literary and artistic theory and criticism; and press and publishing agencies with achievements in promoting cultural and artistic activities.
Through eight award ceremonies for authors, organizations, and individuals, this activity has become a cultural event attracting the attention of the cultural and artistic community nationwide, including literary and artistic theorists and critics; numerous literary and artistic creators; propaganda and promotion agencies; and a large number of the public who love and appreciate culture and art.
"The Council's annual awards are increasingly of higher quality, more persuasive, and have a wider reach; they are truly prestigious and reputable awards of national significance," Mr. Nguyen The Ky emphasized.
Most of the awarded works and projects have achieved high academic and artistic value; made new and practical contributions to theory and practice; had a positive effect in inspiring and guiding literary and artistic activities; contributed to shaping public aesthetics and reception; and effectively countered erroneous and distorted views in the field of culture and arts.
Previously, on November 27th, the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a seminar titled "Ma Giang Lan - Restless with the River of Poetry" to introduce the work and three main aspects of the career of Professor, Doctor, and People's Teacher Ma Giang Lan. Besides listening to Professor Ma Giang Lan's sincere sharing about his work "Ma Giang Lan - Restless with the River of Poetry" and his conceptions of poetry, the audience also heard stories about the process of creating the book, his journey and research methods on poetry, as well as the role and influence of Professor Ma Giang Lan in the learning program of students in the Faculty of Literature.
