Vice Principal Hoang Anh Tuan received a delegation from Guangxi Foreign Language Academy

At the meeting, Vice Principal Hoang Anh Tuan briefly introduced the development situation of the School, especially the material facilities, training scale and cooperation activities to train foreign students at the school.

The school currently has more than 500 staff, training 31 university majors in the fields of social sciences and humanities. In addition to traditional majors such as History, Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy, Han Nom, the school also opens new training majors to keep up with social needs such as Psychology, Tourism, Journalism and Communication, Cultural Studies, International Studies, Oriental Studies... In recent years, the number of students enrolling in the school has continuously increased, currently the school has more than 10,000 students and trainees studying undergraduate and graduate programs. Every year, the school welcomes about 1,000 students from countries around the world to study and research. Currently, the school also establishes cooperative relationships in the field of education and training and research exchange with more than 400 universities and research institutes around the world.

Regarding facilities, the school has a spacious, modern library, a free internet system and a rich source of reference materials; a clean, convenient canteen for lecturers and students. In the future, the school will have a new, spacious, modern facility in Lang Hoa Lac area, better meeting the learning and research needs of lecturers and students.

Prof. Dr. Tang Thinh Trac - Vice Principal of Guangxi Language Academy also introduced an overview of the history of the establishment and development of the Academy. The school was established in June 2004 with the original name of Guangxi Oriental Professional Foreign Language Academy. In April 2011, the school was upgraded to a private university training school, and changed its name to Guangxi Foreign Language Academy. As of October 2018, the school has 11 training units with 30 university training majors and 19 college training majors, with more than 14,000 students studying. As of August 2018, the School has 05 key majors in the block of Guangxi private schools, 02 special majors at the Autonomous Region level and 02 special subjects at the Autonomous Region level, in which the School's Vietnamese major is not only classified as a special major at the Autonomous Region level but also has 02 special subjects at the Autonomous Region level: "Vietnamese Phonetics" and "Intensive Public Vietnamese".

Prof. Dr. Tang Thinh Trac said that Vietnamese language is a strength of Guangxi Foreign Language Institute and wishes to expand cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to open short-term and long-term training courses in Vietnamese language. In addition, Prof. Dr. Tang Thinh Trac also said that it is necessary to promote student exchange cooperation in other majors which are the strengths of the two schools.
