On December 31st, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan, along with representatives from the Cooperation and Development Department, the Training Department, and the Faculty of Linguistics, met and worked with a delegation from Guangxi Foreign Languages ​​Academy (Guangxi Nationalities University, China), led by Professor Dr. Tang Shengzhuo, Vice Rector.

During the meeting, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan gave a brief overview of the school's development, particularly its facilities, training scale, and collaborative training activities for international students.

The university currently has over 500 staff members and offers training in 31 undergraduate majors in the social sciences and humanities. In addition to traditional fields such as History, Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy, and Classical Chinese Studies, the university has also opened new majors to keep pace with societal needs, such as Psychology, Tourism Studies, Journalism and Communication, Cultural Studies, International Studies, and Oriental Studies. In recent years, the number of students enrolling has steadily increased; currently, the university has over 10,000 students and trainees enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Each year, the university welcomes approximately 1,000 students from around the world for study and research. Currently, the university also maintains cooperative relationships in education, training, and research exchange with over 400 universities and research institutes worldwide.

In terms of facilities, the school has a spacious and modern library, a free internet access system, and a rich source of reference materials; the canteen is clean and convenient for faculty and students. In the future, the school will have a new, spacious and modern facility in the Lang Hoa Lac area, better meeting the learning and research needs of faculty and students.

Professor Tang Shengzhuo, Vice President of Guangxi Language Institute, also gave a brief overview of the Institute's history and development. The institute was established in June 2004 under the initial name Guangxi Oriental Professional Foreign Language Institute. In April 2011, it was upgraded to a private university offering full-time undergraduate programs and renamed Guangxi Foreign Language Institute. As of October 2018, the institute has 11 training units offering 30 undergraduate programs and 19 college-level programs, with over 14,000 students enrolled. As of August 2018, the school had 5 key majors among Guangxi private universities, 2 special majors at the autonomous region level, and 2 special courses at the autonomous region level. Among these, the Vietnamese language major was not only classified as a special major at the autonomous region level but also included two special courses at the autonomous region level: "Vietnamese Phonetics" and "Accelerated Public Vietnamese".

Professor Tang Thinh Trac stated that the Vietnamese language major is a strength of Guangxi Foreign Languages ​​Academy and expressed his desire to expand cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to open short-term and long-term training courses in the Vietnamese language major. In addition, Professor Tang Thinh Trac also suggested promoting student exchange cooperation in other majors that are strengths of both universities.
