University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

(Nhan Dan Newspaper) Over 35 years of formation and development, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has become one of the leading units in training, research, and knowledge transfer in the field of journalism and communication in Vietnam. Not only is it a pioneer in academics and training methods, but the Institute also constantly innovates, keeps pace with digital transformation, integrates internationally, and provides high-quality human resources for the country's journalism and communication industry.

In the ever-changing landscape of digital media, journalism is no longer purely a field of pen and paper, but is gradually becoming a multi-platform ecosystem closely linked to technology, artificial intelligence, and digital content creation. However, the core element remains always people – journalists with integrity, responsibility, and a spirit of service to society.

The documentary film "Vietnam 1954 - Glory and Tears," directed by a group of lecturers and former students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, won the top prize - Award A - at the 19th National Journalism Awards Ceremony - 2024, held on the evening of June 21, 2025 in Hanoi.

On the morning of June 18th, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025), Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy – Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department – ​​visited and congratulated the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training (Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Accompanying him were representatives from the Department's functional units.

This was one of the topics discussed at the scientific forum "Connecting Technology and Innovation in Vietnamese Journalism and Media 2025" with the theme "The Power of AI for Young Communicators," organized by the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (SJC) this morning, June 12, 2025.
