In this film, audiences once again relive the glorious and proud emotions of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory. It explores the complex international context of 1954, when for the first time the world witnessed a small nation negotiating with five major powers to end a war that impacted both East and West.
The directing team, comprised of lecturers and alumni from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, won the top prize – Award A – at the 19th National Journalism Awards Ceremony in 2024.

The 19th National Press Awards are a reflection of journalistic life, reflecting the practical leadership, guidance, work, and contributions of the Party, State, and people in 2024.
At this year's competition, from hundreds of thousands of entries submitted in 2024, nearly 2,000 high-quality works were selected, of which 128 outstanding journalistic works, having gone through two rounds of preliminary and final judging, will be honored with awards.
More specifically, at this year's awards ceremony, many former students and trainees of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training had the honor of receiving awards in various high-ranking categories.
