Announcement of 10th grade enrollment at High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2020

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi announces enrollment for grade 10 of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities (SH&NV) in 2020.

1. Candidates and conditions for admission
Junior high school students graduating in 2020 nationwide must meet the following requirements:
- Conduct and academic performance for the entire school year of junior high school classes are ranked from Good and above;
- Graduated from secondary school with good grade or higher.
(The school will check the transcript when the successful candidate completes the admission procedures)

Each candidate can register for a maximum of two out of three specialized classes (Literature, History, Geography) and ranked in order of priority. The registration file includes:
+ Exam registration form (03 votes according to sampleHERE);
‚+ Photocopy of birth certificate (no notarization required);
ƒ+ 02 4×6 cm photos with full name and date of birth written on the back (Not including photos attached to other documents in the file).
Note:Candidates do not need to buy an application bag. The School will provide an application bag (according to the School's form) when candidates come to submit their application.
4. Admission fee
Application and exam fee: 400,000 VND/1 application (submitted once with the application, non-refundable if the candidate withdraws from the exam). If the candidate registers for more than 1 choice, an additional 50,000 VND/1 choice will be paid.
5. Receive application documents
- Time: From June 1, 2020 to June 25, 2020(Business hours on weekdays, except holidays, Saturdays and Sundays).
- Location: Office of High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, Room 109, Building A, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.
6. View contest information
From 01/07/2020:Candidates can check their registration number, exam room, exam location and exam room regulations on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not send exam admission notices to candidates.
7. Accept corrections and adjustments to contest information

8. Exam subjects and exam format
- Exam subjects:Candidates must take 4 written exams including: Literature, Math, English and specialized subjects (Literature, History, Geography).
- Exam format:The exam is designed in essay form for Literature, Math and specialized subjects, and multiple choice for English.
- Exam time:Literature test time is 120 minutes, Math and English test time is 60 minutes, specialized subjects test time is 150 minutes.
- Exam score scale:Test scores are calculated on a 10-point scale.

Afternoon 12/7/2020	- 13h30: Call candidates into the examination room. - 14h00: Math test (60 minutes) - 15:30: English exam (60 minutes)
Bright 13/7/2020	- 07h30: Call candidates into the examination room. - 08h00: Specialized Literature exam (150 minutes)
Afternoon 13/7/2020	- 13h30: Call candidates into the examination room. - 14h00: Exam in specialized History or specialized Geography (150 minutes)

10. Admission method
- Candidates included in the admission list must be candidates who have taken all 4 exams and have not violated the exam regulations. The exam score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the specialized subject score must be 6.0 or higher.
- Admission is based on the principle of taking the total score from high to low until the quota is full, from the specialized system to the high-quality system. The admission score is the total score of the exam subjects on a 10-point scale, the specialized subject multiplied by a coefficient of 2 and rounded to two decimal places.
- No bonus points in admission.
11. Announcement of exam results
Before 5:00 p.m., July 30, 2020:Exam results will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
