Official announcement of the exam schedule for Semester 1, academic year 2023-2024 (Semester code 231)

The main exam schedule is divided into two phases, from December 11, 2023 to January 13, 2024.
The university officially announces the exam schedule for the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year (Semester Code 231). The signed and stamped copies have been sent to all departments via official correspondence (via eOffice; the exam schedule file is attached to this email). Students can view the exam schedule and specific exam information on the Student Portal, under the "View Exam Schedule" section (address: https://daotao.vnu.edu.vn).

A. General notes for students:
- One day before the exam, students should double-check their exam session, exam room, and student ID number on the Student Portal to avoid confusion regarding the exam room or session.
- Students are required to bring their student ID card or other valid photo identification to enter the examination room. Students who do not bring valid photo identification will NOT be allowed to take the exam.
B. Detailed notes for students:
1. Regarding the exam schedule:
Students must arrive at the exam room at the following times: Session 1: 8:00 AM, Session 3: 2:00 PM, Session 5: 6:10 PM
2. Regarding the exam schedule for special courses:
The courses "Marxist-Leninist Political Economy" and "Marxist-Leninist Philosophy" will be tested on computers, and there is no official exam schedule yet. The university will update the exam schedule for these courses after receiving notification from the VNU-Hanoi Examination Center. Once the official exam schedule is announced, students can view the schedule and exam information on the VNU-Hanoi Examination Center website at:http://tracuu.dgnl.edu.vn
3. Regarding the courses for which you need to write a final essay:
Students should pay attention to the instructor's regulations for writing and submitting essays on time (especially final-year students).
 4. Regarding students' absence from exams due to objective reasons.
In case of force majeure preventing students from taking the exam, they must submit a report to the Training Department stating the reason for absence. If the absence is due to health reasons, students must include a medical record from a healthcare facility with a ROUND stamp (the stamp of hospitals - square or missing stamps are not accepted) issued within 3 days of the missed exam date for consideration of a supplementary exam.
5. When taking the exam, students must have their student ID card or other valid photo identification.
If the student ID card is faded, the photo is damaged, or there are errors, students must present a temporary certificate for students awaiting card replacement, issued by the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, along with other valid photo identification. Students who do not bring valid photo identification with a stamp will not be allowed to take the exam.
C. Notes for teachers in each unit
1. Regarding the exam schedule:

- The main exam schedule is divided into two phases:
     + Phase 1, with 7-week, 10-week, and 12-week modules, will begin on December 11th, 2023 and end on December 16th, 2023.
+ Phase 2, with 15-week modules, starts from January 2nd, 2024 to January 13th, 2024.

- The teachers in charge of the exam must be present in the examination board room.1st shift: 7:55am, 3rd shift: 1:55pm, 5th shift: 6:05pm
2. Regarding the assignment of invigilators
- The specific invigilation schedule will be sent to the units after the Training Department completes the compilation of the list of invigilators received from the training units (contact person for implementation: Ms. Vu Thi Xuan Huong).
3. Regarding exam preparation and grading for courses requiring final essays:
- The schedule for entering grades for essay-based courses will be announced to the lecturers in the grade entry document (contact person: Mr. Nguyen Chung Hieu).
- Lecturers submit essay topics to the Faculty for management and archiving. Lecturers specify the essay topic and submission deadline to students. Lecturers proactively enter grades into the university's grading system (with special priority given to final-year students). Lecturers submit hard copies of grade sheets (with signatures) to the training assistant. The Faculty/Department training assistant compiles and sends them to the Training Department (Ms. Le Thi Kim Thuong) within the timeframe specified in the grade entry document (sent later).
4. Regarding the preparation and submission of exam papers for other courses.
- Teachers should prepare the exam papers based on the assigned tasks and submission deadlines, and send them to the Training Department (contact person: Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien).
5. Regarding the preparation of examination rooms and grading rooms.
Based on the school-wide exam and grading schedule, the General Administration Department, in coordination with the Training Department, will re-inspect the facilities, electricity, water, computer rooms, etc., to ensure the exam takes place safely and according to plan, and arrange grading rooms according to the grading assignments in the attached exam schedule.
