2. Objectives of the training program

2.1. General objectives

Training master's degree in History of the Communist Party of Vietnam ensures the basic and modern nature, in-depth knowledge of Party history, contributing to providing high-quality human resources for the country in the context of integration and globalization.

2.2 Specific objectives

Training master's degree in History of the Communist Party of Vietnam aims to provide educational institutions, scientific research agencies, and Party agencies with human resources specializing in Party history to teach, conduct scientific research, and work in practice.

3. Admission information

- Entrance exam subjects:

+ Basic exam: Historical methodology.

+ Basic exam subject: Vietnamese History

+ Foreign Language: choose 1 of 5 languages: English, Russian, French, German, Chinese.

- Admission objects: Candidates applying for the master's training program must fully meet the following conditions:

+ Have a clear personal history, not currently being prosecuted for criminal liability;

+ Have a university degree in the correct (or appropriate) major of History of the Communist Party of Vietnam; or have a regular university degree in a major close to History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and have taken additional courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in the major registered for the exam;

+ Have at least one year of working experience in a professional field suitable for the major of History of the Communist Party of Vietnam (from the date of signing the decision to recognize university graduation to the date of taking the exam), except for those with a university degree of good grade or higher, in a major that is correct (or suitable) for the major of History of the Communist Party of Vietnam;

+ Be healthy enough to study;

+ Submit all diplomas, certificates, documents and exam fees in full, in accordance with procedures and on time according to regulations of Hanoi National University and the training unit.

+ Related majors are majors with 60 - 90% of the number of credits overlapping with the History program, such as Philosophy, Oriental Studies, International Studies, Vietnam Studies, Political Science, Archival Studies, Anthropology;

+ Suitable majors are History majors at universities nationwide, or majors with at least 90% of credits overlapping with the History major's program.
