11. Summary of the thesis results:
The thesis clarified the translation of lyrics from English songs into Vietnamese as follows:
In terms of semantic features,The thesis indicated that the pronouns in the original Vietnamese translation were primarily translated into Vietnamese using a semantic translation strategy (67.16%). The pronouns in the Vietnamese translation mainly consist of temporary pronouns, specialized pronouns in a group, nouns/noun phrases, and finally, specialized pronouns. The thesis also clarifies the semantic and pragmatic characteristics of these pronoun groups in the Vietnamese translation. Furthermore, the thesis clarifies that most song titles were translated into Vietnamese using a pragmatic translation strategy (60.98% of the translated titles retaining the information of the original title) and the effect of this translation strategy. The thesis also indicates that the lyrics in the original Vietnamese translation were primarily translated into Vietnamese using a pragmatic translation strategy (91.53%).%(of the total number of translated lyrics that retain information) and clarify the effect of pragmatic translation strategies in translating song lyrics. How does it aim to convey a message to the music listener?Subsequently, the thesis applies the translation results to classify the translations and concludes that the authors who translated English songs from the 1980s to 2000s into Vietnamese mainly followed a method of rote memorization.
Regarding characteristicspointstructurelanguage,The thesis clarified the proportions and possibilities of structures retained in the translation.Regarding the island structureThe inverted structure is retained in translations at a very low rate (less than 20%), including types such as: the original has an inverted adjective structure, the translation retains the inverted adjective structure; the original has an inverted noun structure, the translation retains the inverted noun structure; or the original has an inverted adverb structure, the translation retains the inverted adjective structure… The low retention rate of inverted structures indicates that in lyric translation, retaining inverted structures is very difficult due to the nature and characteristics of song translation.Regarding rhetorical structureIn translation, 30.92% of the lyrics retain the same rhetorical structure as the original but are expressed in different forms (the original uses personification, while the translation retains structures using personification, metaphor, or simile...). These retained rhetorical structures enhance the value of the translation.Regarding harmonic structureThe translated lyrics have retained the harmonic structure to a relatively high degree (54.98%), expressed through many rhyming pairs in different forms (the original has a main rhyme, the translation retains the main rhyme or a secondary rhyme...).The rhyme is retained in the translation.with a relatively high number (54.98%) demonstratesTranslators of songs pay close attention to conveying the rhymes in their translations..

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
In terms of semantic translation:The findings of our research openpersonsemantic translationisthemostly usedstrategyin hereaddressing forms fromEnlglish songs into Vietnamese. The research also openthe personaddressing forms brotherswerefound to be the most widely used in Vietnamese versions, followed by thenouns/compound nounsperson, lover...)andnounj(person sitting...)and theaddressing forms(We, us....). The research also indicates the impact function of these addressing forms in Vietnamese versions, which helps to create a greatEffect on music listeners. In addition,tThe research findings showedpersonthe salaries keepthe same meaning as the original account for 82.25%, whichproved that translators paid attention to song title translation. The song translators are mainly usedpragmatic translation strategyto translate titles (60.98%).Finally,the study results revealed that35.73% of the total sentences keep the same meaning as the original. Pragmatic translation strategywas mostly used in translatingsentences from the original into the targets, accounting for 91.53%.This result allows to make a remark thatsong translators use pragmatic translation strategyto translate the song content.
In terms of language structures, the findings of our researchclarify the percentage of language structures were retained in the translated versions and how these structures were retained. Firstly, our research stated that theinversion structureSwereunmannedin Vietnamese versions wwith a lowhundred(below 20%), whichmeans retaininginversion structures in song translation is of great difficultyThat is,the original havecombinations of inverted noun ordersthe targets bestcombinations of inverted noun orders, orthe original havecombinations of inversed adjective orders, the targets havecombinations of inverted noun orders... Secondly, theresearch revealedthe personfigure-of-speechstructure in the translated versionsensure the same as those of the original with the percentage of30.92%.To be more specific, the original has combinations using figure of speech likesimilemetaphor, ppersonification, metonymy..., the targetsbestthose ones such assimilemetaphor, ppersonification, metonymy...Thecombinations using figure of speech are retained in the targets belong to the translations sharingmany semantic characteristicswith the original, which increases the value of the translations. Finally, forrhyming structures, the findings of the research showed thatthelyrics in translated versions retain many sets of rhymes from the original (54.98% of sets of rhymes were found in the translated versions). specifically, the original have perfect rhymes, the translated versions keep those perfect rhymes, or the original have imperfect rhymes, the translated versions have perfect rhymes. These results allow to make a remark thatsong translators paid so much attention to how to translate songs with rhymes, whichhelps to increase the arttargetof the translated versionS.
12. Practical applicability:
The study results of the thesis will contribute to consolidating and adding some points about the theory and methods of songButdamage translation, artButlanguage translation. In addition, the thesis will contribute to promoting the study of translation theory of art texts (songs).
The study results of the thesisgamesthe reference for those who research translation, song and poetry translation. The findings of this study are expected to be useful forinstructors as well as learners in translation teaching and learning.
