11. Summary of the thesis results:
The thesis has clarified the translation of English song lyrics into Vietnamese as follows:
In terms of semantic characteristics,The thesis has shown that the pronouns in the original were translated into Vietnamese mainly by the semantic translation strategy (67.16%). The pronouns in the Vietnamese translation are mainly temporary pronouns, specialized pronouns, nouns/noun phrases, and finally specialized pronouns. At the same time, the thesis clarifies the pragmatic semantic characteristics of the groups of pronouns in the Vietnamese translation. The thesis also clarifies the majority of the song titles translated into Vietnamese by the pragmatic translation strategy (60.98% of the total number of translated titles retain the information of the original title) and the effects of this translation strategy. The thesis also shows that the lyrics in the original were mainly translated into Vietnamese by the pragmatic translation strategy (91.53%in total the translated sentences retain the information) and clarify the effect of pragmatic translation strategy in translating lyrics. How to convey the message to the music listener. Then, the thesis applies the translation results to classify the translations and can conclude that the authors who translated English songs from 1980-2000 into Vietnamese followed the main trend of copy-pasting translation.
About specialpointstructurelanguage,The thesis has clarified the proportion and possibilities of structures retained in translation.About the island structure, the inverted structure is retained in the translation with a very low rate (under 20%) including the following types: the original has an inverted adjective structure, the translation retains the inverted adjective structure, the original has an inverted noun structure, the translation retains the inverted noun structure or the original has an inverted adverb structure, the translation retains the inverted adjective structure... The low rate of retention of the inverted structure shows that in translating lyrics, retaining the inverted structure is very difficult to do because of the nature and characteristics of song translation. On rhetorical structure, 30.92% of the lyrics in the translation retain the same rhetorical structure as the original but are expressed in different forms (the original has a structure using personification, the translation retains a structure using personification or metaphor, comparison...). The rhetorical structures retained in the translation increase the value of the translation.About harmonic structure, the translated lyrics have retained the harmonic structure at a fairly high rate (54.98%), expressed by many rhyme pairs in different forms (the original has main rhymes, the translation retains main rhymes or common rhymes...).rhyme is retained in the translationwith a fairly high number (54.98%) provingSong translators pay great attention to conveying rhyme in their translations..

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
In terms of semantic translation:The findings of our research revealedthatsemantic translationisthemostly usedstrategyin translatingaddressing forms fromEnlglish songs into Vietnamese. The research also revealedthat theaddressing forms brotherswerefound to be the most widely used in Vietnamese versions, followed by thenouns/compound nouns (people, lovers ...)andnounphrases(person sitting…)and theaddressing forms(we, we...). The research also indicates the impact function of these addressing forms in Vietnamese versions, which helps to create a greateffect on music listeners. In addition, the research findings showedthatthe titles keepthe same meaning as the original account for 82.25%, whichproved that translators paid attention to song title translation. The song translators are mainly usedpractical translation strategyto translate titles (60.98%).Finally,the study results revealed that35.73% of the total sentences keep the same meaning as the original. Pragmatic translation strategywas mostly used in translatingsentences from the original into the targets, accounting for 91.53%.This result allows to make a remark thatsong translators use pragmatic translation strategyto translate the song content.
In terms of language structures, the findings of our researchclarify the percentage of language structures was retained in the translated versions and how these structures were retained. Firstly, our research stated that theinversion structureSwereremainin Vietnamese versions wit's lowpercentage(below 20%), whichretaininginversion structures in song translation is of great difficulty. That is,the original havecombinations of inverted noun orders, the targets retaincombinations of inverted noun orders, orthe original havecombinations of inversed adjective orders, the targets havecombinations of inverted noun orders...  Secondly, theresearch revealedthat thefigure-of-speechstructures in the translated versionsensure the same as those of the original with the percentage of30.92 %.To be more specific, the original has combinations using figure of speech likesimile, metaphor, personification, metymology…, the targetsretainthose ones such assimile, metaphor, personification, metymology...Thecombinations using figure of speech are retained in the targets belong to the translations sharingmany semantic characteristicswith the original, which increases the value of the translations. Finally, forrhyming structures, the findings of the research showed thatthelyrics in translated versions retain many sets of rhymes from the original (54.98% of sets of rhymes were found in the translated versions). specifically, the original have perfect rhymes, the translated versions keep those perfect rhymes, or the original have imperfect rhymes, the translated versions have perfect rhymes. These results allow to make a remark thatsong translators paid so much attention to how to translate songs with rhymes, whichhelps to increase the artvalueof the translated versionS.
