2. Objectives of the training program

2.1 General Objectives

The training program aims to provide a workforce with bachelor's degrees in the fields of administration, document management, and archiving.

2.2 Specific Objectives

- With a pioneering mission in the field of Archival Studies, the training program provides learners with fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge at the university level in the fields of social sciences and humanities; administration, document management, and archiving;

- Providing professional and supplementary skills training in the fields of administration, document management, and archiving to enable graduates to directly perform basic tasks, advise leaders on organizational management, and carry out administrative, document management, and archiving duties.

- Develop personal qualities and professional ethics.

3. Admission Information

3.1. Admission methods

PART II: LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

1. Regarding knowledge

PLO 01: Effectively apply the system of theoretical knowledge of politics and law, basic knowledge of social sciences and humanities as well as natural sciences and information technology to professional activities, research and practical life, adapting to the context of digital transformation and the era of Industry 4.0;

PLO 02: To gain a general understanding of specialized knowledge in administration, document management, information science, and archiving to support advisory work for leaders as well as perform tasks related to job positions in administration, document management, and archiving;

PLO 03: Effectively applying professional knowledge and skills in administrative, document management, and archiving work in state agencies, organizations, and businesses, adapting to the context of internationalization and globalization.

2. Regarding skills   

PLO 04: Perform administrative, document management, and archiving tasks correctly, based on the effective application of several software programs and basic digital technology applications, meeting the work requirements of agencies, organizations, and businesses; use a foreign language (English or Chinese) at level B1, equivalent to level 3 (according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework used for Vietnam) as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University;

PLO 05: Provide advice on solutions to improve work efficiency based on identifying, researching, analyzing, and discussing issues arising in the practical work of administration, document management, and archiving in agencies, organizations, and businesses;

PLO 06: Develop work plans for administration, document management, and archiving, ensuring appropriateness and feasibility to meet practical work requirements within the agency or unit.

3. Level of autonomy and responsibility

PLO 07: Working effectively in teams to perform administrative, clerical, and archiving tasks, as well as related work areas within agencies, organizations, and businesses;

PLO 08: Guidance to enable other members of the agency or organization to effectively perform and coordinate administrative, document management, and archiving tasks to meet job requirements.

4. Job positions that students can take on after graduation.

- Civil servants working in document management and archiving in state agencies and organizations from the central to local levels;

- Clerical and archiving officers in agencies and public service units;

- Secretaries and administrative assistants in businesses;

- Leaders and archivists at archiving companies and private archives;

- Lecturers and researchers at training and research institutions specializing in document management and archiving.

5. Opportunities for further learning and professional development after graduation.

There are opportunities to pursue higher education (master's, doctoral degrees) and become scientists, working at centers/institutes/research facilities specializing in document management and archiving.
