2. Objectives of the training program

2.1. General Objectives

The program aims to train students with strong political and professional ethics, a sense of social service; good health, fundamental knowledge of social sciences and humanities, and in-depth knowledge of Japanese studies. Students will develop solid Japanese language skills, basic English, professional skills, digital literacy, and the ability to apply technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI). Graduates will be capable of self-learning, pursuing further education, innovative thinking, becoming experts, and contributing to promoting Vietnam-Japan relations and international integration in the context of digital transformation and the new knowledge era.

2.2. Specific Objectives

- Providing foundational knowledge in social sciences and humanities, while also equipping students with in-depth knowledge of Japan, helping them develop academic and professional thinking.

- Possess strong Japanese language skills (equivalent to B2) and appropriate English skills (equivalent to B1) to work in academic and professional activities; capable of coordinating research methods, applying digital technology, AI, and critical thinking to generate ideas, design, and implement professional activities related to Japan.

- To foster political and professional ethics, a sense of social contribution, and the capacity for lifelong learning; to build adaptability, encourage innovation and entrepreneurship linked to digital transformation and AI, contributing to promoting Vietnam-Japan relations and international integration.

PART II: LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

1. Regarding knowledge

PLO 01. Applying knowledge of political theory, law, social sciences and humanities, and technology to understand and address academic and real-life issues in the contemporary context;

PLO 02. Applying fundamental knowledge of academic standards, professional ethics, creative thinking, design thinking, entrepreneurship, information technology, and AI tools to analyze and solve professional and life problems in the context of the digital age;

PLO 03. Applying specialized knowledge of Japanese studies and interdisciplinary research methods in social sciences and humanities to professional and academic activities.

2. Regarding Skills

PLO 04. Proficient in Japanese at level B2, equivalent to level 4, and English at level B1, equivalent to level 3 (according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework used in Vietnam) as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University;

PLO 05. Coordinate research methods and data collection and processing technologies to identify, analyze, and solve practical or academic problems using critical and logical thinking in the field of Japanese studies in particular and social sciences and humanities in general.

3. Level of autonomy and responsibility

PLO 06. Demonstrate a sense of responsibility and adhere to ethical principles in research and professional ethics during the research process, performing work independently and effectively, as well as when coordinating and collaborating in a team environment;

PLO 07. Develop habits of self-study, self-research, and lifelong learning.

- Lecturers at universities and colleges;

- Teachers at various levels of education;

- Researchers at research institutes and centers;

- Office secretary/External affairs assistant at government agencies, offices of Japanese companies, joint ventures, or Vietnamese companies;

- Translators/Interpreters at state or private agencies, businesses, and organizations in economic and social fields;

- Specialists/experts responsible for matters related to Japan at central and local government agencies, domestic and foreign organizations, businesses, etc.;
