In the current job market, which prioritizes practicality, basic sciences in general, and history in particular, are not the top choices for many young people. However, setting aside these factors, historical science always holds a particularly important position because of what it contributes to each individual, each nation, each people, to society as a whole, and broadly speaking, to all of humanity. The primary task of those who study and work in history is to distill experiences and lessons from the past to serve and contribute to the development of the country, society, community, and individuals. This is the shared perspective of Associate Professor Dr. Vu Van Quan, Head of the History Department, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
