Introduction

The Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was established based on the model of the former Youth Union of Hanoi University.

From its position as a unit directly under the Hanoi City Youth Union, on December 15, 1995, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was officially established according to Decision No. 73/QD-TN of the Hanoi City Youth Union and became a member directly under the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. With a history of 21 years of formation and development, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has gone through a provisional period and 8 congresses. With this solid and enduring tradition, the Youth Union has continuously grown stronger, affirming its role and position in the university's education system as well as in the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization.

The Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was established on December 8, 2000, as a member of the Student Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Since its establishment, the Student Union has undergone 17 years of development and growth with 7 terms of operation, making significant contributions to the overall development of the university and the student movement in Hanoi.

The Youth Union and Student Association leaders have grasped the ideological situation and aspirations of the members and students, uniting and focusing the intellect of the school's youth, educating them in national pride, trusting in the Party's guidelines, arousing youthful energy and promoting the will to self-improvement among members and students; creating positive motivation and enthusiasm for learning and scientific research to meet the needs of the country's industrialization and modernization; and at the same time, raising awareness of responsibility towards society and caring for the spiritual life of the members. In particular, the school's Youth Union has always successfully fulfilled its core political role in the activities of the school's Student Association, working together to build a strong youth organization for the school.
