Throughout its long history, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has consistently been at the forefront of all activities among universities and colleges in Hanoi, achieving numerous accomplishments such as: the Third-Class Labor Medal in 2008 awarded by the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2005 and 2013, the Emulation Flag from the Central Youth Union for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements for five consecutive years (2011), the Emulation Flag from the Central Youth Union for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements for three consecutive years (2016), and many other certificates and awards.

Typical activities of the Youth Union and Student Association of the school include:The competition "Our Class Follows Uncle Ho's Teachings",March's Gratitude and Torch-Passing Activities,Bringing traditional art to students.,The Following the Course of History Contest,Humanities University Men's and Women's Football Tournament,Blood Donation and Green Humanitarian Volunteer Day,Student Talent Search Competition - USSH's Got Talent, ….
