• Vietnamese Language Department Branch Association;
• Foreign Language Association;
• The Rector's Office Branch;
• The History branch (comprising History, Archives, International Studies, Oriental Studies, Information-Library Studies, and Anthropology);
• Literature and Language Association (including Literature, Journalism, and Tourism);
• Philosophy Branch (Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Management).

According to the charter of the Vietnam Retired Teachers Association, the Association was established to protect the legitimate rights and interests of its members, to continue contributing to the implementation of the education development strategy, to promote the patriotic and revolutionary traditions, intellectual capacity and good qualities of teachers, to care for the material and spiritual lives, and to address the aspirations of teachers after retirement.

• The university organized political and cultural activities on major national and school anniversaries. Several seminars were held on the topics: “President Ho Chi Minh and the establishment of the Faculty of Literature” (2010), “Uncle Ho and the University” on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Uncle Ho's last letter to the education sector (2013), the 70th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature's tradition (2015), “Memories of Russia” – a reunion of lecturers who were former students in the Soviet Union on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (2017), and a cultural activity commemorating the 50th anniversary of Uncle Ho's Testament: “The heritage of Hue's Chau Van singing and songs about him” (2019).

• The university encourages retired teachers to continue contributing to its training and scientific research activities. Many teachers continue to teach, especially postgraduate classes, supervise doctoral students, participate in and lead scientific projects, and serve on scientific councils, thesis/dissertation evaluation committees, and review and assess research projects. Some teachers have received State awards and numerous other awards for scientific works completed during their retirement. Hanoi National University also awards certificates of merit to several retired teachers for their achievements in scientific research.

• In coordination with the School, we celebrate the birthdays of elderly teachers during the Lunar New Year every year. The branches and faculties celebrate the birthdays of those aged 70 and 75; the Association and the School celebrate the birthdays of those aged 80, 85, 90 and older.

• The association organizes tours to historical sites and scenic spots for all members, on average once per semester. A large number of members participate, with each trip having around 200-250 people. This is a good opportunity for members to meet, greet each other, and learn about new places and historical events of the nation.

• Visiting and showing concern for ailing teachers, coordinating with the School, Faculty, and local authorities to offer condolences when teachers pass away.

The Association of Retired Teachers of the School received a certificate of commendation from Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
