Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector, along with representatives of the leadership of functional units, and the leaders of the Faculty of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work.
Representing the Institute of Sociology and Psychology were Associate Professor Dr. Chu Van Tuan - Director; the Deputy Directors, the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Sociology and Psychology, and the leaders of the Institute's functional departments.
In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Chu Van Tuan highly appreciated the position and achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, recognizing its leading position in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. He also emphasized the effective collaboration between the Institute of Sociology, the Institute of Psychology, and the two faculties of Sociology and Psychology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in organizing scientific research, postgraduate teaching, and numerous prestigious scientific events both domestically and internationally. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also a cradle for training high-quality human resources for the Institute. The signing of this cooperation agreement is a landmark event, providing an important legal basis for both sides to further promote diverse, substantive, and effective cooperation activities. Director Chu Van Tuan also shared information about the organizational structure, strengths, and major tasks that the merged Institute of Sociology and Psychology is currently undertaking. To successfully accomplish these tasks, the participation and coordination of training and research institutions, especially leading institutions in the field of social sciences and humanities such as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, are essential.

On behalf of the University's leadership, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Institute of Sociology and Psychology and individual scientists for their continuous support in all of the University's activities over the past period: participating in research projects, scientific conferences, teaching specialized courses, supervising master's and doctoral students, and publishing publications of high scientific value. The official signing of this cooperation agreement today will build upon those achievements and further strengthen close and extensive cooperation between the two units. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his hope that experts from the Institute of Sociology and Psychology will participate more deeply in the University's teaching and research activities.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) emphasized in her speech that the potential for cooperation between the two units is still very broad. After the official signing of the MOU, the two faculties (Sociology, Psychology) can serve as focal points to disseminate information and implement further cooperation in many other fields, jointly proposing and leading clusters of tasks to contribute to solving major problems of Hanoi city. Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong also shared information about the Social Sciences and Humanities Week and the Autumn Science Forum organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, bringing together experts in the field of social sciences and humanities from many countries around the world. The University extends an invitation and hopes to receive the attention and participation of scientists at the Institute.

Delegates attending the conference unanimously agreed with the cooperation directions proposed by the leaders of both sides, and also suggested many specific activities that could be implemented immediately in 2026 and the following years.
At the end of the ceremony, both sides officially signed a cooperation agreement with the following key contents:
- Cooperation in teaching and academic exchange: coordinating the invitation of scientists, researchers, lecturers, and experts from each side to participate in teaching (short-term and long-term), thematic presentations, academic seminars, scientific conferences, and training activities suitable to practical needs and conditions.
- Scientific research cooperation: coordinating the implementation of scientific research activities such as developing, proposing, and carrying out scientific research topics and projects; organizing or co-organizing domestic and international scientific conferences and seminars; exchanging scholars and researchers to participate in scientific peer review and publishing research results.
- Academic guidance and student placement: coordinating academic guidance, co-supervising theses and dissertations (when eligible), and assisting students in accessing research environments, data, and practical experience.
Representatives from both units signed the cooperation agreement and took a commemorative photo.
The two sides discussed opportunities for future cooperation.
