In June 2012, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam passed Law No. 14/2012/QH13 - Law on Dissemination of Legal Education. This Law officially took effect from January 1, 2013. Article 8 of the Law stipulates: November 9 of each year is the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The purpose of this day is to honor the Constitution and the law, and to educate the awareness of the rule of law for cadres, civil servants, public employees, the People and businessmen.
