In the digital age, when technology is leading change in all fields, there is an increasingly urgent question: Is technology capable of solving all problems of humans, society and the planet? Or do we need a "map" of humanistic thinking to orient technology to develop in a sustainable way and bring real value? Many leaders of large corporations in the world have affirmed that technology can only reach its peak when led by humanistic thinking and deep understanding of society, culture and people... However, in Vietnam, social sciences and humanities (S&H) still face many prejudices, being considered an academic field, "far from reality" or "impractical". Reporters of Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine had a conversation with Associate Professor, Dr. Do Huong Lan - Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on this issue.
