The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with Vinh University, is organizing the 2010 university entrance examination for the part-time Information and Library Science program, with a target of 80 students.
1. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Officials, civil servants, and other individuals from Nghe An province and neighboring provinces who meet the eligibility requirements for university entrance exams are subject to the regulations on training of Hanoi National University and the regulations on university admissions for part-time study programs of the Ministry of Education and Training.
2. DIPLOMAS AND EXAMINATION SUBJECTS
1. Examination AreaApplicants must possess one of the following qualifications: high school diploma, vocational high school diploma, professional high school diploma, vocational college diploma, or college diploma, and must pass an entrance examination consisting of three subjects in Group C (Literature, History, Geography) according to the high school curriculum.
2. Exemption from entrance examThose who already hold a university degree in the same field or within the same entrance exam group as the registered major (groups C and D).
3. DOCUMENTATION PROCEDURES
Application forms are issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The period for issuing and receiving application forms is from April 15, 2010 to August 15, 2010. Each candidate must submit two sets of application forms: one set is kept by Vinh University, and the other is sent to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University authorizes Vinh University to issue and receive the application forms.
4. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- A set of application documents, certified by the relevant agency or local authority, with a photograph attached and stamped with a seal (candidates can purchase these at the Information and Library Center, Vinh University).
- A notarized copy of your diploma (high school, vocational school, technical college, junior college).
- A notarized copy of the university diploma along with the transcript (for those exempt from the exam).
- A notarized copy of the birth certificate.
- Certified copy of the priority certificate (if applicable)
- Employment confirmation letter from the employer (if applicable).
- Three color photos, size 4x6 cm, with full name and date of birth clearly written on the back.
- Two stamped envelopes, clearly stating the address and contact telephone number (2000 VND postage stamps).
5. EXAM PREPARATION AND ADMISSION EXAMS
1. Exam dateOn October 2nd and 3rd, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday), candidates can receive their exam notification slips directly at Vinh University from September 13th to 24th, 2010.
2. The school organizes exam preparation sessions.For candidates who need it. The exam preparation course is tentatively scheduled for September 2010. Candidates who wish to participate should register and receive the schedule when submitting their application.
3. Candidates eligible for priority consideration.Students will receive priority according to the current regulations on part-time study admissions of the Ministry of Education and Training. Those with multiple priority criteria will only receive the highest priority level. Priority certificates must be submitted once in the application; supplementary submissions after the exam will not be accepted for priority consideration.
6. FEES
* Application fee: 40,000 VND/candidate (to be submitted with the application) * Examination fee: 280,000 VND/candidate (to be submitted with the application) * Fee for exemption from entrance examination: 100,000 VND/candidate (to be submitted with the application)
7. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The school will only conduct admissions after receiving the required number of applications and all the aforementioned fees.
