USSH Media is pleased to present to our readers a report from Hanoi Radio and Television about young people from many countries around the world learning Vietnamese. Although their learning time, pronunciation skills, and Vietnamese language proficiency may differ, they all share a common love and passion for Vietnamese culture, people, and country, and have chosen the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to fulfill their dream of mastering the Vietnamese language.
In recent years, the number of foreigners coming to Vietnam to work, study, and live has increased significantly, leading to a growing demand for learning Vietnamese to facilitate communication and work. Hanoi remains a top choice for many foreigners who love the Vietnamese language. The Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VSL), with its nearly half-century tradition of teaching Vietnamese and spreading Vietnamese culture, has become a destination and a place of attachment for many foreigners. For our students, learning Vietnamese is not only for academic and professional purposes but also stems from a passion and love for Vietnamese culture, country, and people. With a rich Vietnamese vocabulary, fluent communication skills, and especially a deep understanding of Vietnamese culture, each foreign student becomes a bridge to spread Vietnamese culture to international friends and strengthen friendly diplomatic relations between Vietnam and countries around the world.
