11.1. Mục đích và đối tượng nghiên cứu của luận án
- Mục đích nghiên cứu: Luận án phân tích làm rõ những vấn đề lý luận, đánh giá thực trạng vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam (qua nghiên cứu trường hợp báo chí của Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam) từ năm 2014 đến 2024; đề xuất một số phương hướng và giải pháp chủ yếu nhằm phát huy vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam trong thời gian tới.
- Đối tượng nghiên cứu: Luận án nghiên cứu vai trò của báo chí trong việc bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo của Việt Nam.
11.2. Các phương pháp nghiên cứu đã sử dụng
Luận án sử dụng các phương pháp luận của chủ nghĩa duy vật biện chứng và chủ nghĩa duy vật lịch sử và sử dụng các phương pháp nghiên cứu liên ngành, cụ thể: Phương pháp lịch sử, phương pháp logic, phương pháp nghiên cứu định tính và định lượng, phương pháp nghiên cứu trường hợp, phương pháp thống kê, phỏng vấn sâu chuyên gia.
11.3. Các kết quả chính
- Luận án góp phần hệ thống hoá một số khái niệm, nghiên cứu hệ thống, chuyên sâu những vấn đề lý luận về vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam; góp phần cung cấp cơ sở lý luận, tri thức khoa học trong nghiên cứu về vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam.
- Luận án đưa ra một số nhận xét, đánh giá thực trạng vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo thông qua khảo sát các báo, tạp chí của Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam ở cấp Trung ương từ 2014 đến 2024.
- Luận án đề xuất những phương hướng và giải pháp góp phần phát huy vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam trong thời gian tới. Luận án có thể sử dụng làm tài liệu phục vụ giảng dạy, nghiên cứu về vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo; làm căn cứ khoa học để các cơ quan quản lí, cơ quan báo chí xây dựng chiến lược chương trình, kế hoạch truyền thông nhằm phát huy hơn nữa vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam.
11.4. Đóng góp mới của luận án:
Luận án góp phần làm rõ vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam từ góc độ tiếp cận chính trị học, qua đó nhìn nhận báo chí không chỉ như phương tiện truyền thông mà còn là một chủ thể chính trị tham gia định hướng dư luận, củng cố đồng thuận xã hội, góp phần bảo vệ vững chắc chủ quyền biển, đảo.
11.5. Kết luận:
- Luận án đã xây dựng khung lý luận toàn diện về vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam với những nội dung thể hiện vai trò của báo chí, các tiêu chí về nội dung và hình thức để đánh giá vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo, những yếu tố tác động đến việc phát huy vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo.
- Trên cơ sở khảo sát 07 ấn phẩm thuộc 05 cơ quan báo chí cốt lõi của Đảng Cộng sản Việt Nam từ năm 2014 đến 2024, luận án đánh giá những thành tựu đạt được và một số hạn chế của việc phát huy vai trò báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam; chỉ ra nguyên nhân của thành tựu, hạn chế. Đồng thời, luận án chỉ ra một số vấn đề cần tiếp tục quan tâm giải quyết nhằm phát huy hơn nữa vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo.
- Trên cơ sở lý luận và thực tiễn, luận án đề xuất các phương hướng và giải pháp nhằm tiếp tục phát huy hơn nữa vai trò của báo chí trong bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam trong thời gian tới để báo chí luôn là công cụ sắc bén, tiên phong trên mặt trận truyền thông của Đảng, Nhà nước Việt Nam, góp phần tích cực, hiệu quả vào công cuộc bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Tổ quốc.

11.1. Thesis purpose and objectives
- Thesis Objectives:
This thesis analyzes and clarifies theoretical issues and assesses the current state of the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty (through a case study of the press of the Communist Party of Vietnam) from 2014 to 2024; it proposes several key directions and solutions to enhance the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty in the future.
- Thesis purpose: The thesis studies the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty.
11.2. Research methods
The thesis is grounded in the methodological framework of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, and employs interdisciplinary research methods, including: the historical method, the logical method, qualitative and quantitative research methods, the case study method, statistical analysis, and in-depth expert interviews.
11.3. The major results
- The thesis contributes to systematizing some concepts, conducting systematic and in-depth research on theoretical issues regarding the role of the press in protecting Vietnam's maritime and island sovereignty; it contributes to providing a theoretical basis and scientific knowledge for research on the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty.
- The thesis presents some observations and assessments of the current state of the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty through a survey of newspapers and magazines of the Communist Party of Vietnam at the central level from 2014 to 2024.
- The thesis proposes directions and solutions to enhance the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty in the future. The thesis can be used as teaching and research material on the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty; This serves as a scientific basis for management agencies and press agencies to develop strategies, programs, and communication plans to further enhance the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty.
11.4. Thesis new contributions
This thesis contributes to clarifying the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty from a political science perspective, thereby recognizing the press not only as a means of communication but also as a political entity participating in shaping public opinion, consolidating social consensus, and contributing to the firm protection of maritime and island sovereignty.
11.5. Conclusions
- The thesis has built a comprehensive theoretical framework on the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty, with content demonstrating the role of the press, criteria for content and form to evaluate the role of the press in protecting maritime and island sovereignty, and factors affecting the enhancement of the press's role in protecting maritime and island sovereignty.
- Based on a survey of 7 publications belonging to 5 core press agencies of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 2014 to 2024, the thesis assesses the achievements and some limitations of enhancing the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty; and identifies the causes of these achievements and limitations. At the same time, the thesis points out several issues that need continued attention and resolution in order to further enhance the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty.
- On the basis of both theoretical and practical considerations, the thesis proposes directions and solutions to further enhance the role of the press in the protection of Vietnam’s maritime and island sovereignty in the future, so that the press remains a sharp and pioneering tool on the communication front of the Vietnamese Party and State, contributing actively and effectively to the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's maritime and islands.
