Prominent programs

International projects that have been conducted by USSH’s units greatly contribute to improving teaching and research quality, developing curricula, producing masters and doctors, and compiling and publishing documents and textbooks. With financial support from international organizations and funds, the University has held many international conferences, attracting famous scholars, invited many reputed foreign lecturers and scientists to teach and give presentations, and allowed many of its lecturers to study and participate in academic exchanges overseas to further uphold its image, brand and reputation.  

The University has been participating in nearly 30 projects, some notable of which are:

  • Cooperation in Religious Studies (funded by the Missio-Achaen Institute, Germany)
  • Education Policy Reform in Vietnam (funded by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation)
  • Sponsorship for the development of the Division of Anthropology (funded by the Ford Foundation)
  • Anthropology Project (funded by the French Development Agency)
  • Project for development of doctoral program and teaching capacity building for Anthropology (funded by Wenner Gren Foundation, USA)
  • Improvement of the quality of European studies teaching in Vietnam (funded by Jean Monnet Foundation - European Commission)
  • Collaboration for capacity building at USSH on the fundamental areas of international development studies in the context of rapid development (funded by the Republic of Ireland)
  • Improve information literacy for first-year students at University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU (The Small Grants Fund is funded by the Australian Government)
  • Promotion of open educational resources  for higher education in Vietnam (funded by UNESCO)
  • Increasing understanding and promoting youth participation in activities to promote access to information in Vietnam (sponsored by the Canadian Embassy in Hanoi)
  • Excavation and study of archaeological relics at Thach Lac, Ha Tinh (funded by the Australian National University)
  • Strengthening Capacity for Innovation and Research in Vietnam - ENHANCE (funded by the European Commission)
  • VIETNAMICA
  •  "Study of the possibility of implementing programs to promote academic exchanges between Vietnam - Europe - America in Japanese studies"
  • “Social inclusion of migrants from rural areas to Hanoi”
  • "Exhibition of artifacts related to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki"
  • "Overview of Vietnam's national research and innovation system"
  • "Advanced approaches to the economic, social and ecological Transformation in Vietnam"
