Introduction to the Department of Oriental Studies

The Faculty of Oriental Studies – University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – is a pioneering unit in training and research in area studies and country studies in a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach.
With over 30 years of development, the Faculty offers a modern, multidisciplinary training program that combines theory and practice, helping students gain a deep understanding of regional culture, politics, and diplomacy, and master regional foreign languages. It is a vibrant academic space that broadens perspectives on Asia from a Vietnamese viewpoint within the context of globalization.
