Along with the accreditation of the Social Work training program, experts from the AUN-QA organization also evaluated training programs at member units of VNU, including: the Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering Technology program - University of Technology; the Bachelor of Law and Master of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law programs - University of Law.
Vice Rector of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Nguyen Hoang Hai, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the 395th AUN-QA Program Evaluation.
In his closing remarks, Vice Rector of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) Nguyen Hoang Hai stated that over the years, VNU has always been a pioneer and proactive participant in the accreditation of training programs according to national and international standards, including AUN-QA. He believes this will be a great opportunity for VNU to receive useful feedback from education experts from leading universities in the region, helping to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in the quality of the evaluated programs in particular and the quality of training at VNU in general.
According to AUN-QA's educational accreditation standards, key aspects of the training program will be evaluated, such as: program objectives and learning outcomes, teaching content, teaching methods, assessment methods, quality assurance activities, faculty and students, facilities and student support… Based on this, the evaluation team will provide advice to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi to improve and enhance the quality of its training programs.
Representatives from AUN-QA provided a detailed assessment of the program's strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations based on AUN's general evaluation criteria.
The accreditation team also worked with the leadership of the Faculty of Sociology, interviewed lecturers and support staff, students, alumni, employers, and visited the facilities of VNU, including the VNU Hospital, the Me Tri dormitory area, the VNU library for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the facilities of the Faculty of Sociology…
At the closing session, AUN-QA accreditation experts provided a detailed assessment of the strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations for the four training programs of VNU based on AUN's general evaluation criteria.

With a philosophy and core value that considers training quality and quality assurance, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, has consistently implemented quality accreditation activities according to domestic and international standards. By the end of 2023, VNU-USSH had completed quality assessments for 6 training programs according to AUN-QA standards and 15 training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to the plan, in 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will complete the quality assessment of 100% of its undergraduate programs eligible for accreditation after conducting the quality assessment of the Social Work program and three other programs. These are noteworthy figures, demonstrating the continuous efforts to improve the quality of training and consolidate the position and prestige of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular and Vietnam National University, Hanoi in the higher education system in the country and the region.
