- The thesis develops a way to evaluate local people's participation in community tourism development through specific participation behaviors.

-The thesis has built a research model with 4 hypotheses related to the relationship between factors: awareness of positive impacts of tourism, awareness of negative impacts of tourism, experience in participating in tourism activities, attachment to the community with the participation of local people in community tourism development.

- The thesis has identified the current situation and evaluated the participation of local people through specific participation behaviors at DLCĐ destinations in Western Nghe An.

- The thesis has proposed a suitable model to determine the trends in which factors affect the participation of local people in community tourism development from the case study of Nghe An province.

- The thesis has proposed some recommendations with implications for stakeholders to encourage local people's participation in community tourism development in Nghe An.
