Assessing the current state of green human resource management in 4- and 5-star hotels in Ha Long (Quang Ninh).

This study demonstrates a positive relationship between green human resource management and green employee behavior; green culture, green psychological atmosphere, and environmental awareness play a positive mediating role between green human resource management and green employee behavior; it identifies key local green policy factors that positively contribute to the implementation of green human resource management in hotels and green employee behavior, factors not previously addressed in research; and it contributes to the operational mechanisms of 4- and 5-star hotels in Ha Long (Quang Ninh) in particular, and hotels in Vietnam in general, towards green human resource management and sustainable development, as well as corporate social responsibility.

This study supplements the academic literature on green human resource management, addressing gaps in previous research. It contributes to the practical application of green human resource management in hotels in Ha Long, specifically in Quang Ninh province, and may serve as a reference for other regions and localities. The findings of this study will benefit the improvement of policies, regulations, and implementation strategies. Providing satisfactory answers to the research questions will assist HR departments in adjusting traditional HR functions such as recruitment, training and development, and compensation to guide employees in engaging in green workplace behavior. This will contribute to both the theory and practice of green human resource management.

12. Directions for further research

This research model can be applied to other tourist centers in Vietnam with similar characteristics.

The inclusion of other factors in the relationship between green human resource management and green behavior contributes to increasing the effectiveness of green human resource management for organizations, such as green commitment, specific environmental empowerment, and further research into stakeholders involved in this relationship such as consumers, suppliers, and the community.

Compare the effectiveness of green human resource management with other types of services and accommodations, in different contexts and markets; Multi-level research: Analyze the impact of green human resource management, considering not only the impact on individual behavior but also the group, organizational, and customer levels for a more comprehensive view.

Providing satisfactory answers to the research questions will support human resources departments in adjusting traditional HR functions such as recruitment, training and development, and compensation to guide employee engagement in green workplace behavior. This will contribute to both the theory and practice of green human resource management.

Apply this research model to other tourism centers in Vietnam with similar characteristics.

Including several other factors in the relationship between green human resource management and green behavior contributes to increasing the effectiveness of green human resource management for the organization, such as green commitment, specific environmental empowerment. Further research could also be conducted on factors such as stakeholders involved in this relationship, including consumers, suppliers, and the community.
