- The thesis systematically, relatively comprehensively, and authentically summarizes the education system in South Vietnam under the Saigon government. The thesis studies the current state of the education system in terms of the education management apparatus and the three pillars of education: schools, teachers, and students. The thesis clarifies the current state of the Saigon government's education policy in each specific period, associated with the policy of converting the education system from the French education model to the American education model.
- The thesis presents many new perceptions of specific issues of Southern education during this period such as: management apparatus, organization of education system, education reform, education budget, policies for teachers, studying abroad, exams and exam reform...
- The thesis provides a large amount of original historical data on many aspects of the education system in South Vietnam during the Saigon regime, especially archival documents. The thesis provides a system of data illustrating many aspects of the education system throughout the period from 1954 to 1975, which is statistically and quantitatively collected from archival documents.

11. Summary of the new finding of the thesis
- The thesis generalizes information about Southern Vietnam's education under the Sai Gon regime physics, completely and truly. The research focuses on the facts and situation of this education and its three main key points of schools, educational officials and students. The study makes clear the fact of this educational system in each specific period with the transformative policies of educational system from French style to American style.
- The thesis provides new ideas and acknowledgment about specific of Southern Vietnam's education in this period such as administrative system, educational structure, educational innovation, its government budget, policies towards educational officials, issues of studying abroad, examination and its revolution.
- The thesis shows and provides a large number of primary materials relating to various aspects of Southern Vietnam's education under Sai Gon regime. From this, different data of education from 1954 to 1975 is collected, built, evaluated from Vietnam National Archives.
12. Practical applicability, if any: by investigating the fact of and policies towards Southern Vietnam's education under the Sai Gon regime, this thesis presents and expresses experience of developing national education which is helpful for recent Vietnamese educational innovation.
