10. Summary of the thesis results:
Globally, numerous empirical studies have investigated self-harming behavior. While self-harm can occur at any age, adolescents are generally at higher risk than other age groups. In Vietnam, the incidence of self-harming behavior among adolescents is increasingly alarming. However, there has been a lack of in-depth research on this issue.
In this thesis, in addition to providing an overview of self-harming behavior, I conducted an assessment and intervention for a 15-year-old adolescent exhibiting self-harming behavior. The client's self-harming behavior occurred within the context of post-traumatic stress disorder and some symptoms related to depression. It was seen as a way to release negative emotions and thoughts that could not be expressed to anyone else. Helping the client enhance their self-worth, express their emotions and thoughts appropriately, and connect with family, friends, and teachers were crucial.
11. Practical applications:
Based on the findings of this thesis, it can be seen that self-harm in adolescents is like a cry for help that cannot be expressed verbally. Adolescents need to learn skills to express their thoughts, control their emotions, and need the support of family and friends to stop self-harm and lead safer and healthier lives. While self-harm in adolescents is not necessarily suicide, when performed when the child loses emotional control, it can cause unforeseen dangers to the child's life. Therefore, early detection and timely psychological intervention are essential.

10. Summary of the results of the thesis:
Around the world, there are many empirical studies on self-harm behavior. Although self-harm can occur at any age, adolescents are often more at risk than others. In Vietnam, the situation of adolescents engaging in self-harm is increasingly alarming. However, there are no in-depth studies on this issue.
In the thesis, in addition to giving an overview of self-harm behaviors, I have conducted an assessment and intervention for a 15-year-old adolescent with self-harm behavior. The client's self-harming behavior occurs in the context of post-traumatic stress disorder and some depression-related manifestations. It is meant as a way to release negative emotions and thoughts that cannot be expressed to anyone. It is important to help clients improve their personal values, express their emotions, think appropriately, and connect with relatives, friends and teachers.
11. Practical applicability:
With the results obtained from the completion of the thesis, it can be seen that: self-harm in adolescents is like a cry for help without being able to speak out loud. Teens need to learn thinking skills and control emotions and need the support of relatives and friends to stop self-harm and lead a safer and healthier lifestyle. Adolescent's self-harming behavior, though not suicidal, is set in the context that a child commits acts when he loses control of his emotions, causing unforeseen dangers to the child's life. Therefore, early detection and timely psychological intervention for children is necessary.
