11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- The thesis systematized the concepts and further developed the theory of radio broadcasting in general and companion broadcasting in particular. It summarized the characteristics and role of companion broadcasting as a modern form of broadcasting that allows it to accompany events and listeners, providing quick news updates, closely following and developing news into hot topics, and interacting with listeners, treating listeners as co-producers. Based on research into the methods of companion broadcasting used by several radio stations around the world, the thesis presented experiences in applying companion broadcasting in Vietnam.
- Based on a survey and assessment of the current state of implementing companion broadcasting at the Voice of Vietnam, the thesis has identified the successes and limitations, and the causes of these successes and limitations, in the implementation of companion broadcasting in Vietnam.
- The thesis has identified issues that need attention when applying companion broadcasting and proposed a system of general and specific solutions for applying companion broadcasting at the Voice of Vietnam Radio.
The results of this thesis contribute to the process of innovating radio production methods to suit the current stage of social development and media journalism.
12. Practical applications:
This thesis can be applied to the process of radio broadcasting innovation in Vietnam, especially for channels focusing on news, music, and traffic.
13. Future research directions:
Based on the results of this thesis, the author can continue to research how digital transformation impacts radio broadcasting in general and companion radio broadcasting in particular, thereby proposing solutions to further innovate radio broadcasting to better serve audiences in a rapidly changing media environment.
