The Faculty of Tourism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities will open a training course, granting short-term certificates in Tour Guide Profession - a certificate that is a condition for being granted a Tour Guide card. According to the Short-term Training Framework Program in Tour Guide Profession, issued under Decision No. 1416/QD-BVHTTDL dated April 14, 2009, the training subjects are specified as follows:
1. Training period 1 month:Students are those who have a university degree in Tourism or higher but are not majoring in tour guiding.
2. Training period 2 months:Students are those who have a high school or college degree in tourism other than tour guiding or a university degree or higher in economics, social sciences and humanities.
3. Training period 3 months:Students are those who have a secondary school diploma, college degree in another major or a university degree or higher in the fields of natural sciences, engineering and technology. *Extended subjects: Final year students can be considered for admission if they have a need and have a certificate confirming that they are final year students. Before considering the issuance of a course certificate, students must submit a notarized copy of their graduation certificate.
Study time: Expected in June 2012.
