Admissions Writing Skills (November 2012)

1. Object: Students who have graduated/are studying at colleges/universities.
2. Objective: At the end of the course, students will grasp the basic knowledge and skills of journalism, specifically as follows: - The appearance of Vietnamese journalism and career opportunities in the field of print media; - Law and ethics of journalism; - Skills to detect problems and collect information and evaluate press information; - Interviewing skills as a professional operation of journalists, and interviewing as an independent genre of journalism; - Basic journalism genres such as news, interviews, portraits, reports, and reflections; - Organizing articles;
3. Study time: 18 sessions. 3 sessions per week, Monday - Wednesday - Friday, from 6pm - 8pm
4. Use students' practice products: Appropriate and good quality practical products will be posted on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the authors will receive royalties according to the current regulations of the school.
5. Opening ceremony: November 20126. Tuition: 2,200,000 VND/student/course. Discounts for the following subjects: - Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: 1,800,000 VND/student/course. - Former students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: 2,000,000 VND/course. Pay at least 70% of the tuition fee when registering. No refund of tuition fee after the start of the course.
7. Register for study: At the Center for Journalism and Communication (4th floor, Building H, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi). Registration documents include: - Application form (receive and fill in the form at the place of registration) - Copy of student ID card/university diploma/copy of birth certificate - 2 photos 3 x 4 cm (taken within the last 3 months)
