- The thesis has synthesized documents of pre-Dong Son cultural relics in Phu Tho, placing them in the context of the Bronze Age in the Red River Delta. From there, it clarifies the process of shifting residential areas and changes in types of relics, artifacts, economy, and technology.
- The thesis has clarified that the development of pre-Dong Son culture in Phu Tho is different from the rest in the Red River Delta. That is the concentration and prominence of the Phung Nguyen and Go Mun periods while Dong Dau is very obscure. This is contrary to the development of pre-Dong Son culture in areas outside Phu Tho.
- The thesis analyzes cultural changes based on evidence of environmental changes in history. Environmental and ecological changes are the causes leading to changes in residential space, agricultural development, metallurgy and cultural changes shown on stone and ceramic relics.
