Research overview:A research gap has been identified, revealing that works on Buddhist practices and their relationship with the mental health of Buddhists in Laos are still limited, lacking systematic and in-depth analysis from a sociological perspective.

 Developing a theoretical framework:Analyze and clarify the meaning of core concepts: Buddhism, Buddhists, Buddhist practice, health, mental health; Develop a theoretical framework on the relationship between Buddhist practices and the mental health of Buddhists.

Theoretical basis:This thesis applies and analyzes Max Weber's Structure-Function theory and Social Action theory.

Results of experimental research (in Saysettha district, Vientiane capital): 

Faith:Believing in the doctrines of Karma and the Eightfold Path correlates positively with positive emotions, concentration, adaptability, and resilience.

Pray:Regular practice (chanting, repentance, making vows) helps increase feelings of joy, energy, and improve sleep.

Meditation:There is a strong correlation with improved concentration, reduced stress, and increased inner peace.

Offering:Contribute positively to mental health by developing gratitude and strengthening community connections.
