1. General achievements
The faculty of the Faculty of Tourism Studies is always actively involved in research activities in the field of tourism science. Many articles and researches of the staff have been widely published in domestic and international tourism magazines. Scientific research projects at the Hanoi National University and the Ministry level chaired by the staff of the Faculty have been highly appreciated by units in the tourism industry and experts.
- Published nearly 1,200 articles in domestic and foreign journals and conferences.
- Published 50 textbooks, lectures, monographs, references, and translated books.
- Has been and is implementing 50 scientific research topics at all levels (including 15 topics at ministerial, industry, and Hanoi National University levels, 30 topics at school levels, and 05 topics at city levels).

- Survey and evaluate the organization and management of festivals and special events in tourism.
- Research on tourism types: Festival tourism, MICE tourism, creative tourism, volunteer tourism, spiritual tourism, dark tourism, mixed tourism, religious tourism, sports tourism, tourism combined with teambuilding, health tourism, etc.
- Research on consumer behavior of typical tourist groups
- Branding for tourism products and destinations
- Research on culinary tourism activities in Vietnam
- Research on tourism culture, customs, practices and traditional festivals in tourism
- Research issues related to accommodation business, customer psychology and needs
- Research on digital transformation application in tourism/ smart tourism
- Research on circular economy application in tourism
3. Organizing domestic and international scientific conferences
In addition to research activities, the Faculty of Tourism Studies organizes international and national conferences on relevant topics in the field of tourism, hospitality, and events. Each conference is a meeting place and exchange between experts from institutes and research facilities, tourism managers, and businessmen in the tourism and hospitality industry.
