From the first two departments of Tourism Culture and Geography and Tourism Economics and Operations, the Faculty has continuously developed, expanded its scale, diversified its majors, and become a leading training and research institution in the field of tourism studies, recognized by domestic and international academic circles.
The past three decades have been a journey of knowledge, passion and unceasing dedication. Through each stage of development, the Faculty of Tourism Studies has always maintained its vision: training high-quality human resources, linking research and practice, for a sustainable tourism industry.
“Identity of Tourism Studies” – an open, dynamic, creative and humane academic spirit has become a common thread, cultivated and inherited through many generations of teachers, students and alumni. Each generation is a “train of knowledge” spreading the spirit of the Faculty to all parts of the country and reaching out to the world.
Thirty years of formation and development is a journey of solidarity, consensus and perseverance. The Faculty of Tourism would like to express our deep gratitude to:
Generations of leaders, lecturers and staff have devoted their wholeheartedly to the cause of educating people, contributing to laying the foundation and developing the Faculty to be as strong as it is today;
Domestic and foreign partners, management agencies, tourism businesses, those who have accompanied the Faculty in training, research, practice and integration;
Generations of students and alumni – who carry the pride of Tourism Studies, always strive to assert themselves and make positive contributions to the Vietnamese tourism community.
The 30th anniversary is an opportunity to look back on the past journey, and at the same time, it is the starting point for a new phase - dynamic, creative and deeply integrated. The Faculty of Tourism Studies will continue to promote tradition, expand international cooperation, innovate training programs, apply technology in teaching and research, contributing to building a humane, creative and sustainable tourism.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who have, are and will accompany the Faculty of Tourism Studies on the journey of knowledge and development. The road ahead is still long, but the belief, aspiration and spirit of “Tourism Studies” will always be the source of energy to take us further, more firmly and more proudly on the map of Vietnamese academia and tourism.
