Do Thi Que, student of the QH-2012-X cohort, high-quality Literature program.
Unlike many students in the class, Que didn't take rambling notes and memorize everything. Instead, she always tried to identify the most important points and then developed them using mind maps. She reasoned that when you create a mind map, you remember things longer and think more quickly and efficiently.
Not only that, Que also has a very special method of studying literature: watching online clips to gain a new understanding and a deeper appreciation of certain works. This idea originated during her high school years, when she happened to see a clip featuring the characters Chi Pheo and Thi No on television.
“At that time, the images of Chí Phèo and Thị Nở were built through incredibly detailed and realistic depictions. All the language in the story was personified through the situations and images in the film. After reading the story and then watching the film, when I was assigned the task of analyzing these characters, I easily recalled and wrote with great emotion,” Quế shared.
This method of combining reading with watching videos that supplement the dry knowledge in textbooks is also applied to all other subjects. Perhaps this is one of the secrets that helps Que achieve such high academic results.

In addition, going to the library to read books is also indispensable. Thanks to the guidance of her teachers, Que found good books that helped her in her studies and gradually accumulated knowledge.
"Preparing mentally and absorbing knowledge early on will help you avoid cramming during the exam. Because the knowledge is already in your head, you won't spend much time reviewing, and you'll have more time to look for new ideas to add to your writing," Que shared.
In her story, she shared that Quế had initially applied to study literature education to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. However, after a year of studying at university, this dream gradually changed. Quế realized that besides education, she had opportunities in many other fields. Especially with her lifelong passion for writing and creative work, Quế increasingly aspired to become a screenwriter.
"When I read many novels and stories, I find the ideas and meanings in them very good, but many people don't have the opportunity to read such works. Therefore, I want to rewrite those stories using images rather than words," Que said.
Recognizing that screenwriting is a difficult profession requiring many skills, Quế is always conscious of improving her knowledge. She stated that her immediate plan is to maintain her academic performance, while also reading more and spending more time at the library.
Proud of having written many short stories of her own, Que doesn't stop there; she also wants to start writing film scripts. In the near future, Que plans to take an English course, try to pass the exam to achieve the Faculty's training goals, and then register to join the School's Film Club.
