Along with the development trend of the times and the practical needs, the Faculty of History has kept pace very quickly with the open trend in all fields of research. In turn, the majors and specialties were formed within the History training program such as Archaeology, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese History, World History, giving the Faculty of History a rich appearance, both in theory and practice. That reality requires the Faculty of History to continue investing in building new majors to meet the practical social needs in the context of national development. Therefore, the birth of the Urban History major since 2015 has been identified as one of the Faculty's professional focuses in the task of teaching and researching Urban History issues in Vietnam and the world.
