University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

Recently, the high school graduation exam questions and scores in Literature have attracted significant public attention. With exam questions focusing on broad social relevance and many students achieving good or excellent scores, there has been continued discussion about the teaching and learning of Literature, as well as assessment and grading methods.

The schoolyard of My Dinh High School in Hanoi was quite different today, because from early Monday morning, teachers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) and other member universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi were present for the 2024 University Admissions Counseling program.

According to students majoring in Sino-Vietnamese studies, choosing to study this traditional field was the right decision, fostering in them a love and passion for classical research.

Whenever Thanh Nga introduces herself as a student majoring in Sino-Vietnamese Studies, people often ask: "What does studying Sino-Vietnamese Studies involve?", "Is studying Sino-Vietnamese Studies about learning calligraphy?", "Is studying Sino-Vietnamese Studies about learning Chinese?"... Despite this, the final-year student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has never regretted choosing this unique field of study.

On November 24, 2020, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Institute of Han Nom Studies and the French Institute for Advanced Studies, organized a seminar entitled "Posthumous Steles in the Heritage of Han Nom Inscriptions in Vietnam". The seminar was part of the Vietnamica Project.
