University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On the afternoon of August 10, 2026, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Institute for Policy, Innovation and Interdisciplinary Science held a meeting and academic exchange with a delegation of lecturers, staff, and more than 30 postgraduate students from the Master of Social Work Program, Faculty of Social Management, Thammasat University, Thailand.

This was the topic discussed at the national workshop jointly organized this morning, July 8, 2025, by the Vietnam Sociological Association, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

According to some universities, the starting salary for social work graduates ranges from 8 to 30 million VND per month, with some earning as much as 40 million VND.

On March 12, 2025, the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) educational organization announced the results of its ranking of 55 fields across 5 groups of 1,747 higher education institutions with approximately 21,000 training programs. For the first time, the Sociology field of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was ranked 301-375 globally.
