(CPV) - According to information from the Central Council for the Protection of Cadres' Health, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, after a period of illness, despite the Party, State, professors and doctors' devoted treatment and the wholehearted care of his family, due to old age and serious illness, passed away at 1:38 p.m. on July 19, 2024 at the 108 Central Military Hospital. He was 80 years old.
