University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

Within the framework of the cooperation and academic exchange program between Aix-Marseille University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, under the auspices of the European Commission through the Erasmus+ scholarship program, a delegation from the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management held working sessions with key partners in the Republic of France. These exchanges not only strengthened traditional cooperative relations but also opened up many practical directions for collaboration in training, scientific research, and the development of professional projects in the future.

Within the framework of the Vietnam-China Forum on Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation held at Tsinghua University, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector - and the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in many activities aimed at enhancing understanding and substantive cooperation with leading Chinese universities.

On the morning of April 11, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a cooperation exchange with the Foreign Language Institute, Peking University, one of the University's traditional and close partners. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Chen Ming, Director of the Institute.

On March 5, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized various activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the development of Indian Studies as a major in Vietnam.

As part of the working program of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, organized the exhibition "Some Achievements in Indian Studies in Vietnam" on the university campus.

On the morning of March 3, 2026, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong chaired a meeting with a delegation from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand). Also in attendance were leaders from the Department of Science, External Relations and Journals, the Faculty of International Studies, and the Institute of Policy, Innovation and Interdisciplinary Science. Representing Chulalongkorn University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Carl Middleton (Director of the Master's Program in International Development Studies), Dr. Sorasich Swangsilp (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Political Science), and faculty members from the Faculty.

The GO-GN Workshop 2026, aiming to connect research and promote a global open education ecosystem, will be held over three days, from February 24-26, 2026, at HAN University of Applied Sciences, Nijmegen, Netherlands, as part of the Global OER Graduate Network (GO-GN) activities.

As part of their working visit to Japan, on February 26, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, visited and held an official working meeting with the Board of Directors of the Kyushu National Museum in Fukuoka City. The trip also included a group from the Graduate Program in Japanese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies) comprising 2 lecturers, 1 research student, and 7 trainees, marking a new step in the collaborative connection between education and practice.

On February 25, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Rector, visited and worked at the International Center for Japanese Studies (Nichibunken) in Kyoto, Japan. There, the delegation members participated in and actively contributed to an in-depth international conference on regional history.

On the morning of February 3, 2026, at the headquarters of the Thai Embassy in Hanoi, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a strategic working meeting with Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam.

Within the framework of the Digital Skills to Succeed (DS2S) project funded by GIZ (Germany), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) officially participates in the implementation of a system of open online courses (MOOCs) and faculty training programs on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, and Digital Entrepreneurship.

On January 30, 2025, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH), held a meeting with Mr. Lewe Paul, Head Representative of KAS Vietnam, and Ms. Pham Thi To Hang, Program Manager. The meeting aimed to discuss future cooperation directions, particularly in policy research, community development, and scholarship support for students.

On January 20, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. The delegation was warmly received by the Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan, Nguyen Sau.

On the afternoon of January 26, 2026, at the headquarters in Tokyo, Mr. Shinya Kurosawa, President of the Japan Foundation, held a strategic meeting with a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). During the meeting, both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in Japanese studies in the digital age and open up valuable scholarship opportunities for students from Master's to postdoctoral levels.

On the morning of January 24, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a cooperation exchange with Shanghai Foreign Language University, China. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Yi Yonggang, Vice Rector of Shanghai Foreign Language University.
