University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On the morning of February 3, 2026, at the headquarters of the Thai Embassy in Hanoi, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a strategic working meeting with Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam.

Within the framework of the Digital Skills to Succeed (DS2S) project funded by GIZ (Germany), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) officially participates in the implementation of a system of open online courses (MOOCs) and faculty training programs on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, and Digital Entrepreneurship.

On January 30, 2025, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH), held a meeting with Mr. Lewe Paul, Head Representative of KAS Vietnam, and Ms. Pham Thi To Hang, Program Manager. The meeting aimed to discuss future cooperation directions, particularly in policy research, community development, and scholarship support for students.

On January 20, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. The delegation was warmly received by the Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan, Nguyen Sau.

On the afternoon of January 26, 2026, at the headquarters in Tokyo, Mr. Shinya Kurosawa, President of the Japan Foundation, held a strategic meeting with a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). During the meeting, both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in Japanese studies in the digital age and open up valuable scholarship opportunities for students from Master's to postdoctoral levels.

On the morning of January 24, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a cooperation exchange with Shanghai Foreign Language University, China. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Yi Yonggang, Vice Rector of Shanghai Foreign Language University.

On the morning of January 24, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a cooperation exchange with East China Normal University, China. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Kuai Shuquang, Head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and representatives from relevant units of East China Normal University.

On the morning of January 22, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, officially launched a cooperation agreement with Zhejiang University of Foreign Studies, China. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Zhang Huanzhou, Party Secretary and President of Zhejiang University.

On January 20, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, visited the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen. Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh warmly received the delegation.

On January 21, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) received and held a working meeting with a delegation from Shandong University (China).

On the morning of January 21, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held its first cooperation exchange with Guangxi Nationalities Normal University, China. The delegation was welcomed by Associate Professor Ma Ning, Rector of the University.

On the afternoon of January 21, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a cooperation exchange with Guangxi University, one of the University's traditional and close partners. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Xiao Jianzhuang, President of Guangxi University.

On the morning of January 20, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), led by Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a comprehensive cooperation exchange with Khon Kaen University (KKU), represented by Associate Professor Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, Director.

On January 19, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities met and discussed cooperation with the East Asian Institute, Thammasat University, Thailand.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Bansomdejchaopraya University (BSRU) have established a collaborative relationship for nearly 30 years, spanning various stages. This year, to commemorate its 130th anniversary, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a delegation to attend an international scientific conference and engage in multidisciplinary cooperation.
